Calling on fashion police and enthusiasts! This museum houses over 15,000 fashion objects from the 18th century, and 200,000 special collection artifacts with the help of their generous donors.
Established in 1969, FIDM collects outstanding and meaningful fashion items and materials that represent a particular culture, era or designer.

Kids who love learning about firefighters will love visiting the L.A. Fire Department Museum in Hollywood. Families will view classic LAFD vehicles and equipment, memorabilia, and theres also a special kids education center. The Museum is housed in Old Fire Station 27, is open each Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, and offers free admission.

The Broad Is A Work Of Art In Itself
If you want to see the latest in the art world, head downtown to the Broad, which features 2000 pieces of postwar and contemporary art by big names such as Jeff Koons, Jasper Johns, Cindy Sherman, Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Barbara Kruger and Roy Lichtenstein.
The Broad building itself is also a work of art. Designed by architectural firm Diller Scofidio + Renfro and opened in 2015, the museum features a novel concept called the veil and the vault. The vault is where artwork is stored when its not being displayed, though its not completely out of sight there are viewing windows within the stairwells, so museum-goers can catch a glimpse of pieces awaiting placement. And the veil is the honeycomb-like structure surrounding the building, allowing natural daylight to stream in through the galleries.
General admission to the museum is free but does require a timed ticket. Special exhibits may have a separate fee.

Military Intelligence Service Historic Learning Center
The Military Intelligence Service Historic Learning Center was built to preserve a vital part of American history as a tribute to the Japanese American experience and contribution during the World War II. Historic Learning Center, situated at Crissy Field on the Presidio of San Francisco, was initially an abandoned airplane hangar which was converted into a Secret Army Language School in 1941. This was set up by the American army for the training of Japanese Americans during the World War II. The institution schooled 58 Japanese Americans as linguists, who worked closely with the American military intelligence in the Pacific in order to provide combat and cultural tactics.
Usc Pacific Asia Museum
One of only a handful of North American institutions dedicated solely to the culture of Asia and the Pacific Islands, USC Pacific Asia Museum is a treasure trove of art and history.
The museums roots span back to the early 20th century and the enthusiasm of its founder, the entrepreneur and collector Grace Nicholson.
The building was constructed in 1924 as a residence and gallery space for Nicholson and her collection. It was also once the location of the Pasadena Art Museum.
It now houses more than 15,000 items in its collection which cover 4,000 years of human history.
Here visitors can see Japanese artworks on paper, including Edo-era pieces by Hokusai and Utomaro and over 160 woodblock prints from the 20th century. It also holds a large collection of East Asian ceramics, including a number of ancient items from China.
You can also see fine jade jewelry, Chinese textiles and clothing items from as far back as the 14th century and silk kimonos from the Japanese Meiji Period.
The museum also has over 200 sculptures, paintings and religious items some of which are 2,000 years old and hail from all over Asia, including Tibet, China, Vietnam, India and Nepal.
