If you plan on visiting a number of attractions, getting the New York City Pass may be a good way of saving *some* money.
Unless you plan on visiting 5 attractions on the same day , you really dont end up saving that much. You also have to book entrance to all attractions separately.

Witness At Ground Zero
Stephane Sednaoui is a French photographer and director who witnessed the attacks and subsequent collapse of the World Trade Center from the roof of his building in lower Manhattan. Following the tragedy, Sednaoui was one of many who used his time to volunteer in the rescue efforts. When not searching through the rubble, Sednaoui captured more than 500 pictures between September 12th and 16th that reveal a deep sense of community that rose from the ashes of such tragedy. You can see his photos on display at the Witness at Ground Zero exhibition.

Opened to the public in 2014, the September 11 Museum is located 70 feet above ground. Here youll find artifacts from the tragic events of 9/11, including recordings of 911 calls and survivors stories, objects that were found in the ruins, pieces from the buildings and more.

The Historical Exhibition: September 11, 2001 tells the story of 9/11. Its divided in three parts: Events of the Day, where youll learn about the Twin Towers and the attacks to the pentagon and Flight 93, Before 9/11 that talks about the events that led to the attacks, and After 9/11.
The Memorial Exhibition: In Memoriams goal is to honor all the people who lost their lives. Visitors can learn about each victims life by using some touchscreen tables, and youll also find some personal objects that described the victims lives. This part of the museum really helps giving the victims a face, and it makes it more personal.
The temporary exhibitions change every few months. Currently at the time of writing this post, the two exhibitions you can see are Revealed: The Hunt for Bin Laden, an exhibition about the intelligence work that led to finding Osama Bin Laden, and K-9 Courage, that tells the story of the hundreds of dogs that helped after the attacks.

First of all, lets clarify that the 911 Memorial & Museum is officially called National September 11 Memorial & Museum however, its commonly referred to as 9/11 Memorial Museum.
9/11 Memorial Hours: The 9/11 Memorial in New York City is open every day from 7.30 AM to 9 PM.
9/11 Museum Hours: The 9/11 Museum is open from 9 AM to 8 PM from Sunday to Thursday, and from 9 AM to 9 PM on Friday and Saturday.
Visiting 9/11 Museum usually takes a couple of hours I recommend not to rush your visit and allow plenty of times for possible queues at the entrance.

Best Time To Visit 9/11 Museum
The best time to visit the 9/11 Museum is as soon as it opens at between 9 am. Till 11 am, the Museum doesnt get crowded.
Irrespective of the season or day, most tourists line up to enter the Museum between noon and 3 pm.
If you cant make it in the morning, we recommend a visit anytime after 5 pm.
If you want to avoid the crowd, one of the best ways is to buy 9/11 Museum tickets online.
You can then skip the long lines at the ticketing counter and enter the Museum right away.
Some tourists prefer to skip the Museum because it requires an entry ticket.

The completion of the underground premises, which includes more than 108,000 ft² spread over 7 floors, was delayed by more than 3 years. The construction exceeded its budget and ended up costing over 1 billion US dollars. Many people claimed that the admission fee back then of $24 was inappropriate and that the owners had turned Ground Zero into a tourist attraction for profit.
As expected, the mere sight of the first exhibition piece brought back all my emotions about 9/11. The feelings of that day and time after the terror attack: complete bewilderment! Two giant furcated steel beams, which were part of the outer skeleton of the twin towers remind you of what once was. They were completely torn to pieces when the Twin Towers collapsed and have been pieced together like a puzzle. Where And What Is The National 9/11 Pentagon Memorial
The National 9/11 Pentagon Memorial is a national memorial dedicated to the tragic events that occurred on Sept. 11, 2001. All 184 lives lost in the attack on the Pentagon are represented by Memorial Unit benches. Surrounding the benches are 85 Crape Myrtles and the Age Wall, which grows one inch in height per year relative to the ages of the victims.
The memorial is located just outside the Pentagon, which has limited parking, meaning the best way to reach the site is to take the Metrorailto the Pentagon or Pentagon City stops on the Blue and Yellow lines and walk from there. The memorial is free and is usually open to the public 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The public restrooms by the entrance are open from 7 a.m. 10 p.m.

During my visit, I took the 5 train from Grand Central Terminal to the Fulton Street Station and walked the rest of the way to the museum.
While you can hail a taxi or a ride-sharing service such as Uber, itll be far more expensive than taking the subway. Using the subway is super easy and affordable!
If youre staying in Lower Manhattan, walking may be your most advantageous mode of transportation to the museum.
