This one-hour tour starts at 11 am daily, excepton Thursdays when it begins at 2 pm.

On this guided tour you will be taken through the highlights of this Museum including but not limited to Sue the T-Rex, man-eating lions of Tsavo, Egyptian mummies, etc.

You also get to learn about the Museums history and the ongoing science and research.

Free Admission Days For Illinois Residents

Free admission is limited to Illinois residents who must show ID.

The free admission is good for the Basic Pass and additional fees must be paid for the Discovery and All-Access Passes.

There are usually a few dates per month, so it is worth checking out their website for these special admission times.

What Type Of Id Do I Need For Illinois Resident Free Days Or The Chicago Resident Discount

All adults in your party are required to show a photo ID with an Illinois address to receive free admission on Illinois Resident Free Days or a Chicago address to receive the daily Chicago resident price children do not require proof of residency if they are accompanied by a resident adult with the appropriate ID. Current college and university IDs are valid proof of residency for students living in Illinois or Chicago while attending school.

Illinois residents can enjoy free admission to the Chicago History Museum on February 21, March 4, June 19, July 4, August 23-26, and September 30-October 10, 2022, in addition to the free days.

This will be the fifth year in a row the museum is free every day in February, according to a news release. Illinois residents will be able to get free basic admission as long as they provide proof of residency.

The museum will also be free Jan. 20, 22 and 29.

Those who wish to upgrade can get a discounted All-Access Pass for $23 for adults, $17 for children and $20 for seniors and students.
