Inside The Hollywood Wax Museum Pigeon Forge
The Hollywood Wax Museum in Pigeon Forge, TN is the really cool building you see from the road with the gorilla that looks like it is climbing the side. This is also the main building of all 4 attractions and where we purchased our All-Access Passes for the family. We were even able to save $2 off each of our ticket prices by stopping at the Pigeon Forge Visitors Center and grabbing a free coupon book.
Once inside the Wax Museum its all self-guided, so you can spend as much time or as little time as you want with each exhibit. We arrived right as the museum was opening at 9 am and the museum wasnt too busy. But, as we were getting ready to head out, two hours later, the museums parking lot was a lot busier and you could see a large line starting to form.
Since we arrived early, we got to enjoy the wax museum almost all by ourselves, which was nice. With no one following us close by, we were able to enjoy ourselves, make silly faces with the wax figures, and we even got to use most of the photo props that the wax museum has hanging nearby some of the figures.
While we had so much fun playing dress-up with all of the wax figures, one of the best things about purchasing the All-Access Pass was that we got V.I.P. access to go on top of the museums roof. On top of the roof, we got to see the gorilla and look out over Pigeon Forge.
Background Of The Hollywood Wax Museum In Pigeon Forge Tennessee
The Hollywood Wax Museum in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, is part of the Hollywood Wax Entertainment Centers chain of museums that celebrate American celebrities using waxworks. These wax museums contain collections of wax sculptures that are made to represent famous celebrities throughout American History.
The museums also consist of contemporary personalities that are made into life-like poses in real clothes of their given time. The wax museum tradition dates back to the 18th century but became popular in the United States when Spoony Singh decided to open the first Hollywood Wax Museum on February 25, 1965.
The location is still on Hollywood Boulevard and is solely dedicated to celebrities such as A-list movie stars, iconic singers like Elvis Presley, and classic entertainers of an age long gone. It also features a Chamber of Horrors that contains some of the most gruesome waxworks you will ever see.
Singhs idea was well-received to the point that the first opening had a ½ mile-long queue for the tickets. The idea became popular due to his connection to celebrities, columnists, and friends in the press. After his retirement, his sons and grandsons took on the mantle and built the empire that is now Hollywood Wax Entertainment Center.
Each location has its own set of attractions and figures apart from the rest. The Hollywood Wax Museum Pigeon Forge is currently the biggest wax museum in the United States, costing a whopping $15 million to build.

Walking through the entire museum takes around an hour, but it can go much longer if your children have fun adventuring throughout. You have the opportunity to pose next to each and every wax figure and take a memorable photo with the rest of your family. Castle Of Chaos 5d Adventure
Yet again, the Castle of Chaos 5D Adventure is another attraction that is similar to Ripleys 5D Moving Theater, but in my opinion, it was better! Unlike Ripleys where the seats are kind of jerky and you just sit and watch some odd movie, the Castle of Chaos is actually an adventure where you shoot at moving objects on the screen.
We all had so much fun doing this that I personally would have spent 5 more dollars to do it again.
The only thing I would recommend if you are doing this attraction with young children is to opt for the robot film. We opted to do the film with the wolves because it was getting ready to start when we walked in, but it kind of scared the kids since the wolves looked like they were coming out of the screen.
