Die Welt Steht Kopf In Trassenheide Germany

The house is falling! The house is falling!

If Chicken Little saw this house, that would probably be his first reaction. Whos worried about the sky falling when a house is falling on top of your head anyway?

Its also a common reaction that people have when they first see this upside-down house in Usedom, Germany. To further the perspective of a house that has fallen from the sky, it has been built on a 6% incline. With immaculate attention paid to details outside of the house, including a bicycle that is also upside down, the illusion is very real!

Upon walking inside the house, however, the illusion continues because everything else is upside down as well! If youve ever pranked someone by affixing a chair to the ceiling, this house will put any effort youve ever made to shame!

The one downside of visiting this house is its price: Adults: 7.00, Kids are 6.00, but a family ticket is 20.00.

Maybe what you need in an upside-down house is more of a mansion or miniature amusement park than an actual house.

And maybe, just maybe, instead of having a bunch of upside-down stuff in this mansion, what youd like to see is something more like a walkthrough of a Ripleys Believe it or Not! museum.

If thats the case, then what youll want to see is Wonderworks in Orlando, Florida. If it isnt, well, youve been warned!

Welcome to the home of Professor Wonder!

The Upside Down House

Showcase: Upside Down House in Antalya

The tagline: Youll finally see what its like to walk on walls!

The reality: The Museum of Illusions is underwhelming mostly clichéd mural environments that you can pose with. But its new exhibit, the Upside Down House, which debuted in June, is well designed and fun in the kitschiest way. In seven topsy-turvy rooms, furniture hangs from the ceiling. Even the view outside the kitchen window is upside down.

The best angle: Hang from the handlebars of the cotton-candy pink bicycle by the entrance, lean backwards and have someone snap your picture. Rotate it in edit mode and voila: Your world has been turned upside down.

A post shared by Museum Of Illusions on Aug 16, 2019 at 8:30pm PDT

The reaction: Im a researcher studying future trends, how living is changing and how people are changing, said Tanja Vieth, 40, who splits her time between Glendale and Hamburg, Germany. Something like this, such a crazy home, it sparks the imagination. It opens you up a little bit.

Its just a cool idea, added her daughter, Charlotte Vieth, 13. Its something new.

Side note: The Moscow-based company behind the Museum of Illusions, Big Funny LLC, said it plans to open 10 Upside Down Houses in the U.S. by the end of this year.

Final verdict: Is it worth the admission of $12-$25? Perhaps, if youre especially Instagram-motivated. There are plenty of illusions to play with here that will rack up the likes.

Whats With The Upside Down Buildings

WonderWorks began as a Top Secret research laboratory on a remote island in the Bermuda Triangle.

During an experiment, something went awry, and the power of a tornado was unleashed inside the laboratory. This created a swirling vortex that was strong enough to rip the laboratory from its foundation.

It was carried thousands of miles away and landed upside-down the rest, as they say, is history.

Whats Inside The Upside Down House

The Magic of Upside Down Museum in Pasay! The Jerny

As you walk in, theres an illusion of the ceiling being on the floor. But after you pass through the inversion tunnel, theres a series of interactive and educational exhibits. Theyre called Wonder Zones.

Each Wonder Zone has a theme like weather, space, art and more. They play a little fast and loose with some of the themes. The Physical Challenge Zone is basically sports stuff. The Light and Sound Zone has a lot to do with television and video games.

Of course, those two were among my kids favorites, so take that for what its worth. The Physical Challenge Zone has interesting challenges like a bed of nails and a Bubble Lab.

Theres also a dark ropes course, a Space Discovery Zone and an Extreme Weather Zone.

The Weather Zone has an Earthquake Cafe and a Hurricane Shack, where guests can feel the power of hurricane-force winds that reach more than 155 mph.

What Is There To Do Besides Look At The Exhibits

In addition to the interactive exhibits, theres also a 4D simulator ride, an indoor ropes course and laser tag arena.

And Extreme Bikes 360, which is like a motorcycle gyroscope thing and the Wonder Coaster, a virtual roller coaster that pitches and inverts to simulate a series of dream coasters.

They once offered a magic show, but Terry Evanswood now performs at the Grand Majestic Theater.

An Upside Down Building

I said what I said.

The upside-down building is actually a tourist attraction and childrens museum by the name of WonderWorks. Its one of the more popular attractions in Pigeon Forge for families where your imagination can run wild.

If youre unfamiliar with the concept of WonderWorks a franchise of kid-friendly museums scattered across tourist locations like here in Pigeon Forge, Orlando, Panama City and Syracuse, New York the sight of an upside-down building that looks like the courthouse from Back to the Future can be arresting.

But the interior of the building which is right side up is pretty standard science museum fare. Billed as an indoor amusement park, it is entertaining, fun and begrudgingly educational.

For those of you unfamiliar with the WonderWorks concept, lets tackle a few frequently asked questions.
