Admission to the several city supported museums including the Natural History is by voluntary contribution. You can, in effect, create your own discount. However, remember that it takes money to run a museum. The operating cost of the Met Museum is about $45 per visitor.
General admission is pay what you wish at the museum. You can’t do that online. I dont think there are aaa discounts.
You will also find a bewildering array of “Chinese Menu” choices. For example, the Pay What You Wish does not include the “special shows”, like Butterfly Room, IMAX Films, or other gimmicks they may have taking up formerly free spaces in the building. Going To The Getty Is A Whole Experience
The entrance to the Getty Center begins at the bottom of the Santa Monica mountains, past the frenetic 405 freeway in Brentwood, where youll hop on a three-car funicular and ride about 900 ft to the start of the museums sprawling 600-acre campus.
