The Museum of Ice Cream has finally landed in sunny Singapore!
M and I visited the Museum of Ice Cream pop up in New York 3 years back and it has left an impression on us ever since. It wasnt the full experience then as it was just a small pop up, so we decided that we wanted to visit the real thing one day.
Lo and behold, 3 months ago they announced that they were opening one right at our doorsteps! We immediately snatched up the tickets when it was launched and eagerly awaited the day of our visit.
We will describe our experience at the Museum of Ice Cream Singapore and our review of it in this blog post.
Be sure to arrive at the Museum at least 10 minutes before your booked timeslot.
When you arrive, you can head straight to the queue at the entrance. There were ushers dispatching us in batches which we guess is for safe distancing measures. We waited for 10 minutes before it was our turn to enter.
Once youre in, youll be hit with an over sensory of pink. Almost everything in the museum is coloured in a bright colour.

After a successful pop-up in NYC in 2016, the Museum of Ice Cream now has a permanent location in New York. The MOIC in NYC is the first of several flagship locations launching in the US and abroad. Heres what you need to know about it.

At first glance, it would seem that the Museum of Ice Cream is a simple pop-up shop with bright colours and quirky installations. But there is more to it behind the fun installations are big ideas of what we define as happiness, life values, and identity. Visitors to the Museum can explore an entire world of ice cream, from its invention until now, through innovations and interpretations through multimedia installations and creative displays.

The Sprinkle Pool at the New York Ice Cream Museum is a delightful experience for children and adults alike. Getting your tickets at the door can be a messy affair: you have to stand in a long line, buy them and then wait for hours inside the museum.
If you want to avoid this, its best to get Museum of Ice Cream Tickets online in advance You can also get access to their Express Entry Queue which allows you to breeze past the lines and get in much quicker.
Sometimes, people wait in queues. Sometimes, really long queues. The Museum of Ice Cream is so popular that several people waited in line for over an hour to get through the ice cream museum.

When you book tickets to the Museum of Ice Cream, you can choose your preferred time and date for entry.
Once you book your ticket, youll have an email in your inbox with your tickets attached. You can show the tickets on your phone when you enter the museum! This way, you wont have to print anything out.
You can enter the museum up to half an hour after your ticketed entry time. If you arrive more than 30 minutes late, admission is not guaranteed and you will not receive a refund.

Museum Of Ice Cream Will Return To Nyc With A Permanent Soho Location
Instagram-sensation the Museum of Ice Cream is making a permanent return to New York City.
The haven for ice cream aficionados announced that it will open a new permanent 25,000-square-foot space at 558 Broadway in Soho this fall. The three-floor location will feature 13 installations, including one called Celestial Subway, its signature sprinkle pool, and a Queen Bee hive.
I want to continue to connect people and create moments of joy through ice cream. MOIC NYC will build upon Sohos artistic history and contribute to the neighborhoods resurgence as a place for imagination and creativity, Museum of Ice Cream co-founder and creative director Maryellis Bunn said in a statement.
New Yorkers can sign-up for an early access waitlist. Tickets, which are $38 per person, will launch sales on October 9.
The Museum of Ice Cream, founded in 2016, has featured pop-ups across the country with locations in Los Angeles and Miami. The only other city that has a permanent location is San Francisco.
As Curbeds architecture critic Alexandra Lange notes in her review, the New York MOIC pop up is an offspring of museum experiences like The Rain Room or Yayoi Kusamas mirrored Infinity Rooms that are tethered to the world by a thousand social-media posts.

The Instagram sensation opened their first interactive exhibit in the Big Apple in 2016, and pop-ups in Miami, Los Angeles and San Francisco followed shortly thereafter. Tickets for the original New York City location sold out in three days, and it’s become such a sensation that the likes of Beyoncé, Katy Perry and Kim Kardashian have all stopped by to get their sweet tooth on, according to Fast Company.
The Museum of Ice Cream even has a makeup collaboration with and, of course, their own line of ice cream.
When the Museum of Ice Cream flagship location in the city opens this fall in the SoHo neighborhood, it will span almost 25,000 square feet across three floors. According to Curbed New York, it will feature 13 installations yes, that famous sprinkle pool will return and promises to be even bigger and better than it was before. It will also feature a “Celestial Subway,” inspired by the MTA. A very cool way to spend the day, if you ask us.
All this clout means big business, too. It was recently valued at $200 million and brought in over $10 million in revenue since its launch, thanks to the 1.5 million people who visited.

The museum put up several pop-up locations throughout the country, including Los Angeles, Miami, and New York, as well as a permanent location in San Francisco. The museum is more of an immersive art experience, one that provides multi-sensorial expressions of ice cream that cater to the appetites of our generation, according to the museum’s website.
Among the many rooms guests can explore are a quintessentially New York Celestial Subway, which is actually a three-story slide a giant hall of scoops and a massive pool of rainbow sprinkles. Guests can even pick their own ice cream-inspired name tags.

Choosing An Icecream Name
In the first station, youll be given a sticker name tag for you to write out your ice cream name! Be as creative as you can as this is what youll be called throughout the entire experience.
Once youre done with your names, the experience will start proper.
Take note that the only toilets of the entire museum are located at this station. If you ever need to use the toilet, youll have to walk all the way back to the start which can be quite a walk.

What Is Moic Nyc
The Museum of Ice Cream is a place where you can take your latest Instagram profile picture while enjoying an ice cream. Its called a museum but above all, its an experience. MOIC consists of thirteen rooms where there is always something different to experience, all in the theme of ice cream. In one room, ice cream sundaes are distributed, another is full of coloured mirrors and as you walk through you will discover all kinds of photogenic corners, places to sit, coloured walls and all kinds of activities with ice cream as a central theme. In the next room, more ice cream is distributed and the museums final highlight is a bath full of coloured sprinkles. If all that ice cream hasnt made you feel enough like a kid yet, the three-story slide sure does. The Museum of Ice Cream is perhaps best described as a playground for young adults!

Where Ice Cream Museum Is Located In New York
The Ice Cream Museum is located at 558 Broadway New York, NY 10012. The nearest public transportation station is the East Broadway subway stop on the F train.
Its easy to get to there are a bunch of ways for you to arrive at the Ice Cream Museum. We recommend taking the 4, 5, or 6 trains that run through Spring Street station. Alternatively, you can take the N, Q, or R trains to Prince Street station which is just across the street from our amazing establishment.
Bus Route M1, M55, SIM1, SIM1C can drop you at Broadway/W Houston Street, which is about 5 minutes walk from the Ice Cream Museum.
There are many parking garages available near the Ice Cream Museum.
