Now that we have your attention

Boasting a combination of indoor and outdoor space overlooking the picturesque Flints Pond, the is the largest park of its kind in New England. A mainstay stop for art-lovers in Lincoln since the museums opening in 1950, this 35-acre outdoor site is a constantly changing landscape of large-scale, outdoor, modern, and contemporary sculpture. And no wedding is complete without photos by Two Black Hearts, an outdoor sculpture by Jim Dine that incorporates casts of various objects into the surface of two giant hearts.

Youll begin your big day in the DeNormandie Library, the perfect location to get ready, gather your thoughts, or even steal that special First Look moment. Then the wedding commences through the wonderland that is the deCordova.

To reach loftier wedding day goals, have your celebration on the 6th floor of the Museum on the Rappaport Roof Terrace. Hosting 100 people for a standing reception, this is the perfect location for cocktails and passed hors doeuvres, with an expansive birds eye view of Sandy/Flints Pond, the Lincoln landscape, and the Sculpture Park.

Throughout The Decordova Wedding Many Teased Claire About Always Keeping Her Fed And Happy

The two of the bee-lined it to cocktail hour to taste the food that they had so carefully picked out. I feel like my friends tease me about the same thing. I have no shame. Hangry is a real thing.

Claire and Josh, youve been told you two are the perfect couple several times today. I want you to know that I see you for your two black hearts, and loved that that statue spoke to you! May you two always only hold hands for a block or two and to share many amazing meals together. Congratulations to both of you. You both were a joy to photograph!

Such A Thoughtful Gift

As the bride and groom were insatiable readers, books were a huge part of this wedding celebration. Both Ashley and I loved how books were used more than just for ceremony readings and decoration. During the reception, the bride and groom had picked out a book for each and every guest as their wedding favor. What an incredibly thoughtful way to thank your guests and give them something to remember the wedding day. Heartfelt words rang out through the toasts, as well as some incredible energy on the dance floor. Congrats to Cricky and Michael!

Claire And Josh Had Their Priorities Straight For Their Decordova Wedding

A+M

Their deCordova wedding food was top notch! Not only the main courses, but also their chocolate cake with buttercream frosting, fruit with whipped cream, and TAZA chocolate bar favors. Fun fact: My first commercial photography internship was in the same building at TAZA chocolate. I smelled their deliciousness every morning. I will never forget that smell! Claires mom surprised them and their guests with Roxies Grilled Cheese food truck at the end of the evening!

As Their Relationship Progressed Claire Realized That Josh Loved Pasta

And so, they made that a big part of their relationship. They love going to new restaurants together, often walking there together. Claire and Josh have enjoyed taking pasta-making classes, and focusing lots of quality time around food, especially chocolate. Reeses are Claires favorites. I relate. My husband is also obsessed with Reeses. Though, lately, weve been getting into Justins Peanut Butter cups. #wefancy.

What Are Tb Couples Saying

Look no further!Tatiana Blancos photography and overall energy is exactly what you need for your special event. It is our pleasure to write this recommendation and we hope to be able to articulate the impression left on us by her photography on our wedding day. Tatiana was extremely organized and worked endlessly to capture our engagement, wedding and after party. Tatiana helped us plan and structure our day but she was able to swerve and make the necessary adjustments as needed to ensure the day was a success. Tatiane arrived early and stayed late in order to ensure she captured the entire day. Tatiana was able to coordinate with all of the different vendors while simultaneously becoming personally acquainted with our families. This task is no easy feat however Tatiana made it look easy. We would highly recommend Tatiana to anyone who needs a photographer. We now consider Tatiana more than a photographer and we will exclusively utilize her as our personal and family photographer for future events/milestones. To say that she left a lasting impression upon us and our families would be an understatement.

Woman Getting Married Says:

This is another top-rated Massachusetts wedding venue by brides, and I think its a cool option for those couples looking for an inside/outside space with an art-driven flare. The different venue spaces are each unique and offer a little something for everybody, and the fact that you can have an easy weather-backup plan is always a plus. Keep in mind that this venue is rather strict when it comes to both start and end times, so if youre looking for a place where your party can go into the wee hours this might not be the best wedding venue for you. The location is also a bit removed if youre having a lot of out-of-town guests who will most likely want to stay in downtown Boston, but if you hire a shuttle that should eliminate any major issues in terms of location.

Wedding At Decordova Sculpture Park And Museum Massachusetts // Alice + Jacob

deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum

Talk about your nontraditional wedding! Alice and Jacob got married at the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum in Lincoln, Massachusetts on the most beautiful day in July.

When I first arrived to the hotel, I was so excited to see the two of them just hanging out before going to separate rooms to get ready. Nerves can be so high on a wedding day, why shouldnt you be allowed to see the person youre most comfortable with?

While the couple got ready on the same floor of the hotel, I bounced back and forth between each room capturing little snippets and laughing at how differently groomsmen and bridesmaids spend their time getting ready. Guys are ready in 5 minutes. Girls take an hour and a half with hair and makeup. Guys play Super Smash Bros. Girls dance to Spotify playlists called The Good S***. Both drink champagne. Because of course.

Before Alice put on her dress, we left for the venue, the amazing art museum at deCordova. With its floor to ceiling shelves in the library, gorgeous gardens, interesting sculptures to stare at for copious amounts of time, and unique architecture, this might be one of the coolest venues Ive ever been to.

Alice and Jacob said their vows overlooking the gardens. They met eachother at the start of the aisle and walked down together. Their vows really touched me. Not a single cliche, not a single promise that was unrealistic. They were just so real, so honest, and so personal to their relationship.

Wedding Venue Like No Other

The deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum hosts weddings, did you know that?

Up until this past September we had never had the privilege of photographing a wedding at this unique location. That all changed when our friend and event planning specialist Judy Lyon called us last winter to discuss this deCordova wedding.

Upon meeting Judy and the bride and groom at the museum last spring, Ashley and I knew that we would fit in well to this wedding. We talked in-depth about our style of photography, focusing on candid moments, and that these were the photos that really last the test of time. I mean, dont get me wrong posed portraits are beautiful, but seeing a pure expression in a moment captured is something powerful. Our meeting was also a great opportunity to explore the property and get a sense of how the day will flow during a deCordova wedding, which is important for us as wedding photographers.

Curtis And Megan Decordova Sculpture Park And Museum

We were thrilled when Megan and Curtis chose our floral art to complement their summer wedding at the deCordova contemporary art museum. For the blend of art and elegance the couple envisioned, wetransformed the arbor with an abundance of dahlias and peach and white roses framed by eucalyptus and graceful Italian ruscus. Companion garlands framed the aisle. We created a bridal bouquet that waselegance plus romance with garden roses, lisianthus, and feathery astilbe. Centerpieces echoing the brides bouquet filled gilded cubes with companion miniature floral creations in gold-trimmed terrariums. Our Boston bride found her heart with her San Francisco groomso Boston Tea Party and Golden Gate Bridge drinks celebrated this union of east coast and west coast. To crown this love-filled day? A peach macaroon tower set on a luxurious wreath of dahlias and roses. Thank you for making Copper Penny Flowers artistry part of your masterpiece wedding
