You can also visit The Met when it is closed to the general public by booking guided morning and evening tours. If you have to choose between The Met and MOMA , its going to be difficult as both are amazing museums. Seeing MOMAs entire collection of art in one day is doable however, whereas its impossible to see everything at the Met in just one visit, and probably not even in two.The difference between the two is very much expressed by their wildly different architectural styles. As you would expect, MOMA is a modern building that opened in 2004 and very much in line with what one would expect of a modern art museum. The Met, however, is housed in a magnificent old building that first opened to the public in 1880!
