Feathers To The Stars
Next up on the must-see list of exhibitions is Feathers to the Stars. Youll be following the astounding story of flight in this exhibit. It includes everything from feathered dinosaurs to the advancement of technology and space travel.
The exhibit begins with animal flight where youll see the earliest flying dinosaurs. Youll also learn how evolution kept these flying animals safe from the larger predators. The next portion covers basic human flight, where youll met the inventors who created airplanes! Lastly, youll learn more about space exploration of the past, present, and possibilities of the future. Part of this exhibit includes you virtually launching one of the Apollo space missions with video game-like controls.

Th Annual Spooky Science Monster Mash At The Frost Science Museum
Miami, FL October 29, 2022 On Saturday, October 29, 2022, nearly 3,000 costumed guests celebrated Halloween at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in Downtown Miami during its 6th Annual Spooky Science Monster Mash, presented by the Miami Downtown Development Authority . The day was filled with the terrifyingly terrific Cursed Pumpkin Patch stage show, slithering animal chats, bone-chilling science experiments and creepy cool encounters, including a special Haunted Mad Science Lab in the Knight Learning Center that invited guests to explore how to trap ghosts and make cauldrons bubble. Guests also had the opportunity to discover exciting science demonstrations by the American Chemical Society as part of National Chemistry Week , trick-or-treat around the museum, and experience the new special exhibition, Ultimate Dinosaurs: Meet a New Breed of Beast. Additional event support was provided by Casa Smiles Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics, Jackson Health System, and Thermal Concepts Inc., with media support by Kiddos Magazine.

Best Birthday Party Ever
My daughter was clear. She wanted a birthday party at the Museum of Science. While this Miami landmark is sentimental to me, a native who visited as a child, my six year old loves it just as much. It’s familiar, friendly and accessible. The staff is super helpful and friendly and we purchased a birthday party package right off their menu. It was great. Everything was taken care of, I just had to show up and order pizza. The Miami Science Museum took care of the decorations, room set up and clearing , and entertained 20 kids for a few hours. It was awesome, for the six year old, and her working mom. The Miami Science Museum did such a great job, we bought a membership and have been back no less than 15 weekends this year. The exhibits change regularly, and they just opened a touch tank that has sea-life. Outstanding. It’s not big and fancy, but intimate and accessible. More to do, less to hassle with. Although I look forward to the new Miami Science Museum opening , I will always adore this comfortable yet compelling place. Bravo Miami Science Museum!

Critter Crawl: A Paleo Glow

Critter Crawl: A Paleo Glow is a private childrens event scattered throughout the Museum. On Saturday, February 4, 2023, children will spin art with the HMNS art bike, hold spiders at the insect petting zoo, and learn what glows in the darkfossils, minerals, and even treats! There is something for all ages at Critter Crawl: coffee and mimosas for adults arts and crafts for the young ones and a dino scavenger hunt and Discovery Dome for the older kids. Funds raised support the operating budget of the Cockrell Butterfly Center and enrich educational programs at HMNS.
