New York is about to get a whole lot sweeter. The juggernaut that is the Museum of Ice Cream, which helped kick the pop-up museum trend into high gear with the launch of its first New York edition in 2016, has announced plans to return to the city with its first permanent space, coming this fall to 558 Broadway in Soho. The original version, sited across from the Whitney Museum in the Meatpacking District, was an instant sensation, selling out 30,000 tickets in just five days.
To date, the MOIC has had over 1.5 million visitors across pop-ups in Los Angeles, New York, Miami, and San Francisco. It has also branched into retail with a Sephora makeup collection, a branded ice cream, and a branded childrens clothing line for Target. It has also inspired seemingly countless imitators, from the avocado-themed CADO, to the Museum of Pizza, to the Dream Machine.
If you havent had your Instagram moment at the MOIC yet, it may have been worth waiting. The new museum will cover nearly 25,000 square feet, with the largest version of its signature sprinkle pool to date. Guests can also look forward to 13 brand new installations inspired by ice cream and other desserts, created by MOICs architects and designers. Highlights will include a three-story slide, a floating table of desserts, a hall of giant scoops, a MTA-inspired Celestial Subway, and a hidden Queen Bee hive.

A Fun Day At The Museum
For me it was cool. The staff from the entrance to the exit was excited, enthusiastic and energetic. There were different Ice Stations throughout the museum. Our grandson enjoyed the swing, the slide from the second floor to the basement, and of course, the sprinkle pool. . It is fun for all ages. Like most of New York City, must be fully vaccinated, or for kids 5-11, must have at least received one COVID-19 shot. Also must complete an online waiver before entering the Museum. I highly recommend it to all families.

Tickets To The Museum Of Ice Cream Nyc
Tickets for visiting the Museum of Ice Cream are already on sale. For $38 per person, you dont only get admission to the MOIC, your ticket also includes ice cream tastings and signature treats exclusive to the MOIC NYC.
Considering that the Museum of Ice Cream pop-up in 2016 was sold out extremely quickly and the word about MOIC is spreading on social media, its best to reserve your tickets in advance. Tickets are available for dates between December 14th to 1st. Even celebrities including Beyonce and Katy Perry have been to MOIC locations in Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco, and New York!

How Online Tickets Work
When you book Ice Cream Museum tickets, you select your preferred time and date of visit.
Immediately after purchase, your tickets get emailed to you. You dont need to take any printouts.
Once you reach the New York museum at the time mentioned on your ticket, you can show your ticket on your smartphone and enter.
Float Among The Clouds
The celestial pink subway and adjoining sky room makes you feel like you’re living in the clouds. With 360 screens, you are seemingly moving and floating and flying. Also, I have to note here that it’s particularly impressive how the MOIC spaces out guests. The entrance was crowded, so I was worried all the installations would be packed. But, in reality, we had many rooms all to ourselves.

Ice Cream Museum Prices
Ice Cream Museum ticket costs $47.50 for all visitors three years and above.
At $56.08 for all visitors three years and above, Ice Cream Museums night tickets are costlier than the regular tickets.
The museum doesnt offer discounts for seniors, students, or the disabled.
Infants younger than three years dont need tickets and can enter for free.
Note: During the tour, you get to eat delicious treats, all included with your admission.

- Plan to dress cute, you will take lots of pictures
- There are a lot of stairs and you even go down a slide at one point so keep that in mind
- They are only open Thursday Sundays
- The gift shop has cute little trinkets its where you wait when you walk into the museum so dont miss it on the way out.
- It took about an hour ish to go through the whole museum

Have you seen the new bubblegum pink building in the Domain? Is your Instagram feed already loaded with images of people swimming in a pool of sprinkles? The Museum of Ice Cream has just opened a popup location right here in Austin, and were gonna give you the scoop on what its all about.
First and foremost, this is not a museum in which you should expect to learn much, or anything really, about ice cream. It is a showcase of interactive installations all tied loosely to the theme of ice cream. Its basically a silly fun house to walk through and take some cheerful photos. And yes, ice cream does come included with your admission ticket.
Museum of Ice Cream has roots as a popular New York City attraction that branched out with popup locations in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, and Singapore welcoming in over 2 million visitors. Austin is now home to the MOICs latest location that features 12 installations dedicated to the celebration of ice cream.
When you arrive for your set ticketed time, you will be guided through several rooms in which you can take playful photos. The 3 most popular experiences are the the Sprinkle Pool, Banana Forest and Rainbow Tunnel. As you go through the MOIC, you will be served five treats like the carnival cotton candy and a Shirley Temple soft serve.

Things To Know Before Visiting The Nyc Ice Cream Museum
Before visiting the MOIC, you should book in advance. The museum has quickly become a victim of its own success, and it can often be hard to get a day time ticket during the weekends and at peak times . Its not uncommon for people to walk up during the day, only to find that all of the museums tickets have been sold out.
Tickets cost $39 for a standard ticket and $31 for students, provided that proof of a valid student card can be shown. The MOIC is free for children under 2, and offers discounts for frontline workers and military. Book your adult entrance Museum ticket in advance here.
The museum is wheelchair accessible and is open on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays between 11 AM and 8 PM. The Museum of Ice Cream in closed on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.
Be sure to arrive approximately ten minutes prior to your timed ticket and bring an umbrella in case of rain ! The museum is known for its instagrammable spots and a particular museum highlight is a three-storey slide!
MOIC is fun for all ages and, while a great activity for kids, can be fun for all the family! Indeed, groups of friends often visit together, not to mention that the MOIC can be a great date idea! Be sure to leave at least an hour set aside for your visit so as to truly be able to enjoy all of the experiences on offer. After all, the majority of the museum is self-guided.

The Museum of Ice Cream takes about an hour to an hour and a half to get through. I suggest you use the bathroom prior to showing up to the museum since it will take a very long time into the tour until you get to a bathroom. Additionally, you only have one time in each room and you cant go backward.

How Timed Tickets Work
You can arrive at the entrance of the Ice Cream Museum up to half an hour after your ticketed entry time.
That is, if your ticket has 3 pm mentioned on it, you can enter the museum till 3.30 pm.
If you arrive more than 30 minutes late, the guest relationship manager tries their best to accommodate your entry.
However, admission is not guaranteed. You wont get a refund as well.
How Long Does Museum Of Ice Cream Take
Museum of Ice Cream in New York is a self-paced experience where visitors take as much time as they would like.
Most visitors spend around 90 minutes exploring the 13 multi-sensory installations.
After going through the museum, some visitors spend time in the cafe.
Tip: At the museum, visitors can only go forward from one room to the other. So, explore and enjoy an experience thoroughly before moving to the next.
There are two ways to experience the Museum of Ice Cream, New York you can buy the day ticket and visit them before 5.30 pm or purchase the night visit ticket and visit them after 6.30 pm.
