Testimonials: What Visitors Say

  • There are some interactive parts such as feeling the actual temperature of the water the night the Titanic sunk. This part I wont give away, because this youll have to experience for yourself. In the end, it was worth the trip, the entry fee, and the experience. I would say, definitely worth visiting at least once in your life. Karen D, Yelp Review.
  • Im a huge Titanic nerd. I love the history behind it, and this Museum truly captures everything about it. The staff is super into character, they know what they are talking about, and all around this is a good place for children to come learn about the history of the Ship. Cheyanne L, Trip Advisor Review
  • This Museum I just great. People dressed in period costumes, moving from room to room, gives you a new surprise each time. The reconstructed grand staircase and the bridge make you feel really there. I highly recommend this be on your list of things to do in Pigeon Forge. Schaumberg, Trip Advisor Review
  • The Museum itself was beautiful and had a lot of pictures and stories of real-life passengers. I think it was super cool that you get a boarding pass with a real-life persons name that was on the Titanic at the beginning of the tour. At the end of the tour, you find out whether they survived or not. I think my favorite part of the tour was seeing the replica of the beautiful staircase and also touching water that was as cold as the water was when the Ship sank. Kenia L, Yelp Review.

Inside Look at Titanic Museum – Pigeon Forge, TN

When our family visited Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, Tennessee for spring break last month I knew that the Titanic Museum would absolutely be on our list to visit. My 17 year old was especially excited to visit the attraction, which calls itself the worlds largest museum attraction. My 13 year old was looking forward to joining us too. We ultimately decided that my husband would take our 5 year old on go-karts and play arcade games elsewhere, so that the big kids could fully enjoy the experience of the tour and we could take our time. We were all really happy with our decision. It was a nice stress-free stroll through the quiet museum and we could read what we wanted and look at we wanted without feeling rushed. The museum was located just a five minute drive from our cabin and close to all the other attractions in Pigeon Forge. We did not have enough time during our last trip to enjoy this experience.

During the last thirty minutes of our tour, we were brought to a more open space to tour some special artifacts that were on tour and a man was playing the piano. We were able to snag some photos of china, one of the violins played that night, some sheet music, among other things.

There were also several rooms where staff were playing roles from the ship a captain, nun and more. They helped the experience become even more immersed.

Is The Titanic Museum Worth It

But is it worth the price of admission? Lets dive in and find out.

You can spend many an hour contemplating why a giant replica museum of RMS Titanic exists in the Great Smoky Mountains of Pigeon Forge or in Branson, Missouri for that matter.

But ultimately that question is irrelevant for the simple fact that Titanic exists in Pigeon Forge and the whys and wherefores cease to exist once you climb aboard, so to speak.

Worth is always in the eye of the beholder, but climbing aboard the Titanic Pigeon Forge is likely to be an experience you wont regret.

Its worth it alone to see the detail that you will find throughout this attraction. The museum is inextricably linked to the blockbuster movie, though not affiliated in the least.

Its hard to imagine that even with Titanics historic legacy the museum would exist without the movie.

As such, the grand staircase which was such a central part of the movie is also the central part of the museum, serving as a perfect replica complete with elaborate railings, an intricate vaulted ceiling and a cherub statue.

But to limit the appreciation of the museum to those who wish for a King-of-the-World moment is to dismiss the history nerd that exists in so many of us.

The displays, some of which are rotating, are diverting and informative.

The rooms are exact replicas of Titanics quarters and are akin to touring Versailles, Napoleon IIIs quarters in the Louvre or the tours at Biltmore.
