  • Museum Of Science Boston Wedding Photos : : Nicole & Jon

Nicole & Jon were married last weekend at the Museum of Science in Boston. They ended up with a gorgeous day where the wind was blowing in from the water and the sun peeked in and out of the clouds during their ceremony. They chose to do a first look and we got to take advantage of the local parks nearby with views of the citys bridges and water inlets.

Nicoles girls were super fun and wore long navy dresses while Jon and his guys were uber stylish in their black suits, simple black ties, tie bars, and argyle socks. The ladies carried bouquets of cream with pops of coral while Nicole carried a gorgeous water color bouquet of hydrangeas and peonies. Nicoles flowing and textured Paloma Blanca gown was perfect for her breezy wedding day and she wore a to die for pair of navy blue Badgley Mischka heels. Gah, gorgeous day.

However, my favorite things were not the beautiful details or the weather at this wedding. My favorite pieces were how much these two laugh together. Every time I asked them to cuddle up together they giggled and lit up. Even my wonderful second shooter that day, Chris, mentioned how fun these two were to photograph. So Nicole & Jon, thank you for inviting me to share in your wedding day. I hope you love the sneak peek of photos and I cant wait to share them all with you!

A Boston Museum Of Science Wedding Connie & Michael

Connie and Michael married last Fall at the Museum of Science, Boston. They prepared for their big day across the street at the Hotel Marlowe, which is where I met up with Connie and her bridal party. We met up with Michael for a first look along the bank of the Charles. What stood out most during their first look and the entire day in general, really was the silly yet so loving way in which Connie and Michael interacted. Michael is goofball, and his immense love for Connie couldnt help shining through.

Following their first look, we all headed over to the Museum. We were able to spend a little time shooting around the museum before the sunset ceremony under the back pavilion. The Museum is such a cool space, I think you could spend hours just wandering around taking portraits. We didnt have hours, but it was still great to scratch the surface of this unique venue. Their ceremony began just before sunset, and we were all treated to some pretty gorgeous skies as it neared the end. Such a spectacular location for a wedding ceremony!

Right next to the pavilion inside the tent, dinner was served, toasts were given, and copious amounts of laughter were had by all. Following dinner, the party moved back outside to the pavilion, where guests danced the night away under the backdrop of the Boston city lights. Below are some of my favorite images from Connie and Michaels wedding. Take a peek

Jordan & Matts Boston Museum Of Science Wedding

I dont even know where to begin with Jordan and Matts wedding. Before I was a photographer, I was a molecular biologist. Ive always loved all things science, and I still do. And of course, being born and raised in MA, I love the Museum of Science. And, lets face it, Im a big nerd. I love Star Wars and dinosaurs and comics etc. I didnt know much about Jordan and Matts wedding when I booked it, but after meeting them for their engagement session in NYC I knew immediately that it was going to be one of the highlights of my season. I loved it not only because of the location, but because of all the personal touches Jordan and Matt added to their day. It was offbeat, adorable, and so perfect for the two of them.

I started off the day with Jordan, who was getting ready in a secret room in The Museum of Science. I was very excited when I learned that her wedding party had brought a steamer! I really wish all brides would bring one. It really helps, and for some reason I really love the photos with all of the steam. Jordan was radiant, and I loved the purple dresses and bouquets. From there we headed to the Theater of Electricity for the ceremony. Could you ask for a better place to get married? No, you could not. The ceremony was fun and emotional, and Jordan and Matt wrote their own vows.

Congratulations Jordan and Matt! Your wedding was so much fun thank you so much for having us!

Bohemian Chic Wedding At The Museum Of Science Boston

Museum of Science Boston Wedding Venues 02114

The Museum of Science Boston was the perfect destination for the recent spring wedding of Elyse and Hari. After getting ready and a first look in the court yard of The Liberty Hotel, Elyse, Hari and their wedding party wanted to take advantage of some of Bostons more hidden gem spaces for their photos. We stopped at Post Office Square and then headed to North Point Park before heading across the street to the Museum.

Elyse and Hari fell in love with the Pavillion space outside of the Museum with the traditional Jewish ceremony right on the Charles River overlooking both the Boston and Cambridge skylines. Dinner and dancing followed both under the Pavilion and adjoining tent on the water.

From the bride: We wanted a romantic, elegant, whimsical and relaxed day with a slightly bohemian feel. For design, we wanted to focus on the greenery of the flowers for the bridal party and family. The colors of the day were a mix of soft blues, the floral greenery, gray and silver. With the tent nestled in the trees on the waterfront, everything came together perfectly.

A big thank you to newlyweds Elyse and Hari and to the team at the Museum of Science Boston for always being so wonderful to work with!

    Massachusetts Science Museum Weddings

Im not overstating when I say this science museum weddings are THE BEST. Its no secret that I am a big nerd and love science . When I got married, the weddings cost was the primary factor, and it never even crossed my mind to get married at a science museum. We incorporated various science elements into our wedding , but with hindsight, I really wish Id investigated the possibility of getting married at a science museum!

So, why are science museum weddings the best? First and foremost, you get to have awesome science-y photos. If you get married at The Museum of Science in Boston, you can have your photos taken with dinosaurs.

You can have them taken in a space shuttle!

Steven is a mathematician, so he and Laura were psyched to have photos taken in the Mathematica exhibit!

Your wedding photographer will love you forever. The potential for photographic creativity and fun is endless in a science museum. Its like being a kid in a candy store! Whenever I am shooting in any sort of museum I have a perma-smile plastered to my face that probably looks ridiculous. You should have seen me nearly jump for joy when this fish swam by for this photo at The New England Aquarium!

Your ceremony will certainly be unique! Depending at what museum you get married, you can choose what exhibit youd like as your ceremony backdrop. I cant really think of a more unique ceremony location than the Museum of Sciences Theater of Electricity!

Jason And Tammy’s Wedding At The Museum Of Science Followed By Reception At Empire In South Boston

I go way back with these two, having shot their dear friends’ wedding a few yeas past, and I love it when things like that come full circle. Jason and Tammy are both such easy people to be around, I often felt like I was a part of their bridal party, just hanging out with them on their special day. Also, can I just say that I am a sucker for some good ol’ door games, no matter how much it looks like the groom and groomsmen are suffering! I know for a fact their guests had an amazing day having been treated to cocktails overlooking the Charles River from the Museum, then proceeding for a 1 million course meal at Empire. Enjoy, and detail photos coming soon!

    Museum Of Science Weddings

We absolutely love that Boston has a seemingly endless supply of interesting and unique wedding venues. The Museum of Science just so happens to be one of our all-time favorites. Who doesnt want photos with the massive T-Rex and to dance the night away by the enthralling exhibits? Wolfgang Puck Caters so the food is always superb and we adore working with their event managers to make the day as smooth as possible!

Lets talk about their amazing venue options. The Blue Wing is one of our favorites with three levels of galleries overlooking this exhibit space. Soaring ceilings and a glamourous dance floor make for some killer wedding photos! We love a good party and this space is sure to impress!

Looking for an outdoor, romantic wedding at sunset? Say no more, the Washburn Pavilion is open-air and overlooks the Charles. In love with water views like we are? Then also consider the Riverview Café or Skyline Room for your reception. Huge windows overlook the river and city. Its hard to choose the best photos because they all look stunning with views like that!

We have photographed so many adventure-loving, fun, and beautiful couples here! We cant wait to work with you on your big day!

Laura & Stevens Museum Of Science Wedding

    Museum of Science

Laura & Steven got married last weekend at the Museum of Science in Boston, MA. From the giant Rube Goldberg machine to the Theater of Electricty, from the Triceratops fossil to the giant T.Rex replica, from the Mathematica exhibit to the space exhibit, we had so much fun running around like little kids enjoying the museum! We were all giddy with excitement.

When we finished taking photos in the museum before the ceremony, we headed outside to enjoy the ceremony on the Charles River overlooking the city skyline. It was short and sweet, and from there everyone enjoyed cocktail hour on the water. The reception was held outside the museum in a tent, and everyone had a great time.

Congrats to Laura and Steven, and thank you so much for letting me run around the museum with you on your wedding day!

Museum Of Science Boston Wedding Rio & Avery

    Love is kind

These three simple words embody what Ive observed about Rio and Averys relationship.

Thank you for reminding me that health and happiness is more important than prestige

and that we are so fortunate to have found our favorite person. I love this term so much.

I love dog people. I love all animal-people, really.

This little headtouch on the shoulder is everything to me. I love this image so much.

What a dramatic entrance for a first look!

These expressions make me emotional. As a new parent, I have a newfound perspective on how to view weddings from the viewpoint of a mother.

Thank you Kelly for this amazing behind-the-scenes moment of me and my little fuzzy corgi puppy.

The Museum of Science team is the best. Thank you for always feeding me, and for being such a wonderfully organized team to work with!

This is one of the stories for the books.

These three little goslings hatched last week, and the entire staff at the MOS have been watching them as they grow and make the museum of science pavilion their stomping grounds.

Lisa and I were standing in the tent, and I noticed that the three were getting extremely close to the edge.

One of the little goslings slipped off the edge into the water, and the two parent geese squawked in desperation. One of the catering leads swept in with a net, and saved the little guy, but not without scolding the parent geese. Dont hiss at me. Im saving him! Be a better parent!
