I stayed here for 2 nights and it was a great experience! Beautiful hotel, the room was really clean, and the bathroom was perfection. I was given a room with a view of the river and it did not disappoint! Customer service was great from check in to check out. I ordered room service which came fairly quickly given the high call volumes. Burger and fries on point for it being at the hotel. Will definitely stay here again if I am back in the area!*This was for a work trip, I didnt get to explore the surrounding area too much but the location was right by the river at the wharf.

Not Much Has Changed Since I Last Visited In 1987

Not much has changed since I last visited in 1987. The space and science museum needs an upgrade. Showing the same aircrafts that I saw in 1987 during my last visit. No arrangements for hot food in the museum cafeteria. The museums in Washington should learn from their counterparts in the UK on how food is served. Do note it gives extra income to the place and attracts / solves food requirements of a visitor who may not be familiar with the city. Cold sandwiches are not ideal all the time. Also the vegetarian options should be more.

Some of the places in the food court at the Reagan Building are open. Its a short walk from the museum. Be aware you have to go through airport style security to enter the building.

There are also numerous food trucks in the area.

Cant help with the in/out question for the museum.

You will have to ask the museum. I looked and that issue was not addressed in the instructions or faq.

Do be aware its not open every day.

#1 has best options for eating, if thats a big deal to you Ive never been in a museum long enough that it mattered, but I cant stand being in museums all day.

AS far as the ticket, I am pretty sure they regulate entry for capacity standards, but obviously they dont kick you out so dont regulate people leaving. I think you cannot enter BEFORE your time, but you can enter all day after your time, so shouldnt be a problem to come back later on. You could check with them when you enter, if you want, but I think even if you werent going out and coming back, you could enter after your entry time.

On foodthis is true all along the mall

You have museums , they might have cafeterias open

Then north and south are large federal govt buildings thst have cafeterias inside them. Many have not yet reopened.
