Funny story my wife and I visited a wax museum on vacation once.

We stopped, politely, at the entrance as a woman snapped a picture of an extremely life-like wax figure of Dwayne The Rock Johnson. The woman was bent down, trying to frame the picture just right, presumably so she could post it on Facebook and pretend shed met the real thing.

My wife and I chatted while we waited, not really paying that much attention, but after a minute or so, my wife not a patient woman clicked her tongue in frustration as the photographer took her sweet time.

Thats when the security guard couldnt hold it in anymore and busted out laughing. The photographer was as wax as the Rock. We hadnt even paid for our tickets and wed already been fooled.

Castle Of Chaos 5d Adventure

Yet again, the Castle of Chaos 5D Adventure is another attraction that is similar to Ripleys 5D Moving Theater, but in my opinion, it was better! Unlike Ripleys where the seats are kind of jerky and you just sit and watch some odd movie, the Castle of Chaos is actually an adventure where you shoot at moving objects on the screen.

We all had so much fun doing this that I personally would have spent 5 more dollars to do it again.

The only thing I would recommend if you are doing this attraction with young children is to opt for the robot film. We opted to do the film with the wolves because it was getting ready to start when we walked in, but it kind of scared the kids since the wolves looked like they were coming out of the screen.

We had pick 2 passes so we were also able to visit the Castle of Chaos. It is an interactive 5D ride. You sit in stadium style seating with a bar that goes across an entire row of seats to keep you in place. You are given 3D/5D glasses and a laser gun.

The lights go out, the stadium begins to spin and you see ghosts and witches on the screens. The goal is to shoot as many as you can and get the highest score. Your photos are being taken the entire time and the winner of the round is displayed on the screen along with the runners up. You dont win anything but it is a lot of fun. There is fog and at certain times air blasts the back of your head and lower legs. There are also rollers that run inside the seats to make it feel like rats running under your seats. It is creepy and a lot fun!

I didnt get any photos inside, other than in the lobby because it is dark in the theater and you have to have any loose items secured so they dont fly around when the stadium platform is rotating. So I didnt get any photos of the actual game.

Hannahs Mirror Maze is also inside the Castle of Chaos building, which is right beside the Hollywood Wax Museum, but it was being remodeled so we didnt get the chance to check it out.

How To Enjoy The Wax Museum

Walking through the entire museum takes around an hour, but it can go much longer if your children have fun adventuring throughout. Outside, youll be greeted by a massive wax figure of King Kong climbing the Empire State building, and Mount Rushmore featuring classic actors. You have the opportunity to pose next to each and every wax figure and take a memorable photo with the rest of your family. Your children will enjoy posing as the king of the world, just like Jack did in the movie Titanic.

And make sure you look out for the horror exhibit along the wayits so lifelike that you could experience genuine fright.

But keep in mind the Pigeon Forge wax museum is just one of three attractions on the premises. You can also take a ride on the Castle of Chaos, which is the worlds first 5D ride. Youll put on 3D glasses, equip yourself with a pistol, and dispatch the evil holding the castle and its inhabitants captive.
