Testimonials: What Visitors Say

Ice wall collapses at Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge, injuring 3
  • There are some interactive parts such as feeling the actual temperature of the water the night the Titanic sunk. This part I wont give away, because this youll have to experience for yourself. In the end, it was worth the trip, the entry fee, and the experience. I would say, definitely worth visiting at least once in your life. Karen D, Yelp Review.
  • Im a huge Titanic nerd. I love the history behind it, and this Museum truly captures everything about it. The staff is super into character, they know what they are talking about, and all around this is a good place for children to come learn about the history of the Ship. Cheyanne L, Trip Advisor Review
  • This Museum I just great. People dressed in period costumes, moving from room to room, gives you a new surprise each time. The reconstructed grand staircase and the bridge make you feel really there. I highly recommend this be on your list of things to do in Pigeon Forge. Schaumberg, Trip Advisor Review
  • The Museum itself was beautiful and had a lot of pictures and stories of real-life passengers. I think it was super cool that you get a boarding pass with a real-life persons name that was on the Titanic at the beginning of the tour. At the end of the tour, you find out whether they survived or not. I think my favorite part of the tour was seeing the replica of the beautiful staircase and also touching water that was as cold as the water was when the Ship sank. Kenia L, Yelp Review.

Is The Titanic Museum Worth It

But is it worth the price of admission? Lets dive in and find out.

You can spend many an hour contemplating why a giant replica museum of RMS Titanic exists in the Great Smoky Mountains of Pigeon Forge or in Branson, Missouri for that matter.

But ultimately that question is irrelevant for the simple fact that Titanic exists in Pigeon Forge and the whys and wherefores cease to exist once you climb aboard, so to speak.

Worth is always in the eye of the beholder, but climbing aboard the Titanic Pigeon Forge is likely to be an experience you wont regret.

Its worth it alone to see the detail that you will find throughout this attraction. The museum is inextricably linked to the blockbuster movie, though not affiliated in the least.

Its hard to imagine that even with Titanics historic legacy the museum would exist without the movie.

As such, the grand staircase which was such a central part of the movie is also the central part of the museum, serving as a perfect replica complete with elaborate railings, an intricate vaulted ceiling and a cherub statue.

But to limit the appreciation of the museum to those who wish for a King-of-the-World moment is to dismiss the history nerd that exists in so many of us.

The displays, some of which are rotating, are diverting and informative.

The rooms are exact replicas of Titanics quarters and are akin to touring Versailles, Napoleon IIIs quarters in the Louvre or the tours at Biltmore.

For starters, this replica of the doomed, sunken vessel is shaped like the actual Titanic, only smaller. Situated in a manmade lake, they’ve gone all out with the water feature at the hull, creating the look of a ship that’s actually sailing!

Visiting the museum is an impressive experience, from the moment you’re assigned the name of a passenger on your White Star Line boarding pass, to the moment you exit and discover if the person you were assigned survived or not.

You can even put your hands in water that’s chilled to 28 degrees Fahrenheit the exact temperature the ocean was on that fateful night in 1912.

Fun And Interactive Experience

My husband and I loved learning about the Titanic, reading about peoples life stories, and touching the freezing cold water!

This whole place is amazing! They made my proposal so special! The staff is incredible! Perfect!!!!!

We werent expecting too much out of this museum given its location and often sensationalized subject matter, but it ended up being one of the best maritime museums weve ever visited! Extremely well done, respectful, and well-researched. If you have any interest in passenger travel, ocean sailing, history, or the disaster itself, this museum is an absolute must-see. Give yourself the full two hours for this one- there is a huge amount of information in this collection!

Second visit and still loved it. We did the audio tour and learned a lot of things. I would recommend that add on. Unfortunately, the iceberg wall wasnt there this time but it was still just as fun. I like that when you enter, you get a card with a name on it to see if you survived or died as a person aboard the Titanic. To me that is a great way to remember all those who were aboard the Titanic. A lot of history in this tour!
