Mismatched Bridesmaids In Light Pink Coral And Dusty Rose

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens Wedding {The Highlights} 4k

My maid of honour was my younger sister, and my matron of honour was my brothers wife. My bridesmaids were my new sister-in-law, and three best friends. They all wore bridesmaids dresses from J.Crew in 1 of 3 shades: creme, light pink/coral, and dusty rose. I wanted to go for an ombre look, and the dresses all complimented each woman beautifully. They all seemed to like the outfit and felt beautiful wearing it, which was very important to me. Im not a fan of weddings where the bridesmaids look ridiculous so that the bride will shine!

“Vizcaya was a very modern house. Many are surprised to learn that it was built largely of reinforced concrete, with the latest technology of the period, such as generators and a water filtration system. Vizcaya was also equipped with heating and ventilation, two elevators, a dumbwaiter, a central vacuum-cleaning system and a partly automated laundry room.”â Vizcaya Museum & Gardens

Vizcaya was built with a residential elevator, but it is closed to the public. Vizcaya does not meet ADA standards.

Old World Meets Modern Day In This Wedding Inspiration At Vizcaya Museum And Gardens

Magnolia Rouge

It’s hard to believe you’re not staring at somewhere in the middle of Europe looking at these beautiful images by Northern California wedding photographers THE GANEYS but alas it’s right in the heart of Miami. Designer Jennifer of BOURBON & BLUSH explains: “When deciding on a location for our upcoming editorial, we hoped for a venue that would tell a story in its rich history and beautiful estate. Upon my recent visit to VIZCAYA, I immediately fell in love with the formal Italian style. It felt like we were in another world and certainly not in our own backyard in Miami, Florida.

Drawing inspiration from the venues Baroque appearance and meticulously maintained gardens was at the forefront of our approach. We wanted to pair the old world Italian culture and aesthetic with fresh modern-day romance. Her dress, sheer and bending to our brides every movement provided a soft texture, long lines, and a sultry yet elegant demeanour. And the wings of this classic INES DE SANTO gown were the perfect touch. The bride’s playfulness matched with the old world Italian aesthetic was captivating and fresh!

Q: What Helps Set The Tone/mood For The Event

Inside the house Vizcaya Museum and Gardens wedding ILLUMENE ...

A: Every vendor contributes to setting the mood, and every event at Vizcaya is completely different each time. I have done very ethnic Indian weddings, to very traditional Jewish weddings, to weddings that feel more like a music festival than a wedding. Lighting and decor are key to playing up the tone.

The Best Kosher Caterers And Cake

We didnt want to make a big deal of our cake. Dont get me wrong, I loves me some cake, but to spend so much money on something thats going to be partially eaten and partially thrown out didnt make sense. We decided to ask our caterer to create a simple lemon cake with raspberry filing, and it tasted delicious. Our overall catering was phenomenal. We went with Aroma Caterers and I have to say the food at our weekend was hands down THE best Kosher food Ive ever had.

My Wonderful Hair And Make Up Artist

My planner recommended Barak Mizrahi to us for hair and makeup, and I couldnt have been happier with him and his team! Barak was a sweet, calm energy to have there getting ready with us, and he did an amazing job on me and my bridal party. I felt like I had the right amount of makeup on for photos while still looking natural in person, and it lasted the entire night.

Regal & Luxurious Elopement At The Vizcaya Museum & Gardens

Magnolia Rouge

VIZCAYA MUSEUM & GARDENS is not stranger to the pages of Magnolia Rouge, but each shoot brings with it it’s own sense of beauty. This one by Chicago wedding photographer BONPHOTAGE might just be one of our very favourites. This sought after and stunning venues has a rich history and impressive architecture in every direction you look. Lynzie of BONPHOTAGE tells us, “As we looked around the space and its story, descriptors such as timeless, elevated, regal, editorial, luxurious & passionate came to mind. We began dreaming of ways to showcase soft and timeless romance with some bold fashion-forward, couture accents, channeling much of the ambiance of the property – a truly regal experience.

She continues, “We were so excited to use the natural colour scheme of the space in a meaningful way, always adhering to the organic, outdoor elements and Old World, timeless elegance of the property. We chose neutral and subtle warm tones in the paper and florals that helped pull out the soft pinks and beiges of the architecture and added some subtle cool blue pops of colour in the styling and subtle paper details to accent and draw attention to the oceanside setting.

Woman Getting Married Says:

Having grown up in Miami, Im very familiar with just how spectacular this place is. Its location on the bay is stunning, and I think it might be one of the most beautiful places in Miami, period. The venue rental fee is obviously very expensive considering it doesnt include anything such as tables, chairs, etc. However, the fact that you can bring in your own caterers and vendors is a huge plus. This will allow you to offset the venue rental fees at least a bit by being able to shop around for the best caterers and vendors in your price range. All-in-all, considering the immaculate grounds of the property combined with the ability to bring in your own vendors, I love this as an option if you have the budget.

Music For The Ceremony

The string quartet played John Legends All of Me for when our bridal party walked down the aisle. When it was my turn, they played The Power of Love by Cà©line Dion. Since Adam is Canadian, his love for Cà©line Dion is a running joke, and I thought hed find it funny if I walked down to one of her songs. He loved the idea and we went with it.

A Destination Wedding At Vizcaya Museum & Gardens

We got married at Vizcaya Museum & Gardens in Miami, Florida. We knew we wanted to do a destination wedding and Miami was the perfect place not too close, but not too far, and somewhere everyone would want to go during a bitter cold March in New York City where we live. My husband, Adam, wanted to have nature be incorporated, so the fact our wedding would be outside in a garden couldnt have been more perfect!

A Stunning Elopement At The Vizcaya Museum And Gardens

// by Cynthia //

Jay & Ashleys elopement at the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is absolutely breathtaking in every way! The couple had an intimate sunset ceremony on the beach, with only their officiant and two best friends by their side. After the ceremony, they went to the historic Vizcaya where their super talented photographer, Krystal Zaskey captured some of the most stunning portrait shots Ive ever seen. Everything about this venue invokes a romantic feel that is reminiscent of a bygone era in a faraway land. It is simply spectacular. I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I did.

Stylist Micaela Erlanger Wore Custom Prada For Her Wedding At Miamis Vizcaya Museum And Gardens

Vizcaya Museum & Gardens Wedding in Miami | Mari & Wally

In 2016, celebrity stylist Micaela Erlanger and William Mac Osborne were set up on a blind date during New York Fashion Week by their mutual friend Savannah Engel. Savannah had set me up on quite a few dates with what felt like most of New York City, and none of them had panned out, Micaela remembers. So I begrudgingly agreed to this one. And, thank god I did. Three months later, he moved into her apartment, and in 2018, Mac surprised Micaela with a proposal on Sammys Beach in East Hampton.

Originally, their wedding weekend was set to take place in New York City in the fall of 2020. Because of the pandemic, they moved everything to October 2021. But as the uncertainty continued, Micaela and Mac decided it would be easiest to elope, which they did in St. Barths in August 2021. Then they landed on Miamithe city they relocated to during COVIDin April 2022 for their official wedding location and date. Miami was the perfect choice for usnot only is it the new place we now call home, but also it felt like a destination wedding while being easy enough for people to get to, Micaela says.

helped the couple creative direct and choreograph many aspects of the ceremony and reception. From the performances to the menu by Creative Edge, she was our fairy godmother, Micaela says. We couldnt have done it without her!

Q: What Are Some Key Elements That Someone Should Have

A: The best element would be the tent. I always recommend my clients get the tent rather than to take a risk in South Florida. We then plan the entire look inclusive of the tent so its part of our decor. It also helps to create an intimate setting.

Personal decor is so important, but also amazing food and great music are also essential. The venue is so gorgeous on its own that the decor should complement the venue, but not overpower it. We use lighting to highlight many of Vizcayas architectural features and use those as part of the decor and experience, including the secret garden , the barge, and the front of the mansion .
