What Is Cosis Reciprocal Admission Policy

COSI policy offers free admission for 2 adults and up to 4 children listed on a qualifying Association of Science-Technology Centers reciprocal membership. Participating members of the Association of Childrens Museums Reciprocal Network receive 50% off exhibits admission for up to six people.

COSI checks IDs for reciprocal admission and strictly enforces the ASTC 90-Mile reciprocal policy. ASTC reciprocal admission benefits do not apply to reciprocal members whose place of residence is less than 90 miles from COSI. Per ASTC policy, this distance is measured as the crow flies, meaning that it is based on the linear radius between your place of residency and COSI, not driving distance.

COSI cannot verify memberships from reciprocal museums. Reciprocal visitors must present current membership cards and photo ID when checking in at COSIs Box Office .Please note that ASTC free reciprocal admission to COSI does not include the American Museum of Natural History Dinosaur and Special Exhibition Gallery, COSI Planetarium, COSI Giant Screen Theater or the COSI Motion Simulator. Tickets for these experiences may be purchased at COSI’s Box Office.

Tips For Using Your Acm Reciprocal Network Benefits

Health and Welllbeing – Can museums make a difference?

While most childrens museums closed their doors earlier this year in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, many are beginning to reopen with enhanced safety practices in place. As museums continue to reopen, many ACM Reciprocal Network participants are welcoming back visitors to their institutions. However, a large number of museums are still closed and those that are open may have new rules and visitation restrictions. As you look to use your ACM Reciprocal Network benefits, the Association of Childrens Museums has compiled a list of recommendations to ensure your visit is safe, fun, and stress-free.

  • CHECK the Find a Childrens Museum website to verify the museum you are visiting participates in the ACM Reciprocal Network. This website lists all ACM member museums around the world, but not every museum participates in the ACM Reciprocal Network. The Find a Childrens Museum website allows you to search by city, state, and museum name. Museums that participate in the ACM Reciprocal Network are denoted by a RED pin on the map as well as a red R logo next to their listing.
  • PLAN AHEAD. As museums are reopening, please call or visit the website of the museum you plan to visit to ensure they are open and find out if they have any special policies or restrictions. Some museums are implementing temporary changes, such as timed ticketing, limited capacity, or only allowing museum members to visit the museum.
