Where Is The Art Museum

Finding Shapes Its Not Hard To Do Here

Tour The Denver Art Museum’s New Welcome Center, Renovated Galleries

There wasnt any snow this time but it was still chilly and a bit gray. I had ten minutes to wander around and capture a few images. The museum was closed anyway and we had other places to see this particular day.

My editing style has changed over the years, Ive learned more about how to edit, whats possible and also what I like and dont like. This time I decided to brighten things up a bit for a more clean look.

Frank Gehry is one of my favorite architects. I love his use of lines and shapes and how they all play off each other on the stainless steel.

The Weisman Art Museum was designed by Gehry in 1993 and it sits overlooking the Mississippi River.

Because of some confusion over domain names, and trademarks that havebeen legally registered in different countries, we receive a lot ofwebsite traffic and communications from people that are not intended forus. We do our best to respond out of courtesy, but at the end of the daythis is not something that we make any money out of.

As you will read below, we have been open to resolving this confusionmany times, but the other parties involved have either handled thesituation badly, or simply not been serious about getting it resolved, ultimately contributing to their own failure.

D Fiction By Serdar Camlica

The ability to easily simulate a 3-D environment is one of the best parts about the invention of the computer and Camlicas simple and somber gallery is an excellent example. His images are all in black and white and the designs are not complex but effective and intriguing to observe.

Foundation directors are averse to calling it a museum, instead opting to refer to it as a museumlike facility. But no matter what it is called, the art housed there whether it is sculptures or paintings is worth the visit. The foundation even works with the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra to put on chamber concerts that have been very well-received.

Blue Black By Ellsworth Kelly

The other sculpture the foundation loves to tout is Kellys simple yet inspired piece that stands 28 feet tall and is made of painted aluminum. Located in the main gallery, Blue Black can hardly be considered intricate, but of course that is what Kelly wanted. Just admire the way the light affects it and enjoy how well it works next to the blank white walls.

Brushstrokes Fine Art Inc

Mitchell WineBrushstrokes Fine Art Inc.

Mitch Wine is the son of Harold Wine, Chairman ofWSP International Limited. Both were directors of Brushstrokes FineArt Inc.

Mitch did a remarkably good job of rebuilding the company. Under hisleadership Brushstrokes Fine Art Inc. signed a major contract with theIKEA retail chain, and they ran a “photo to painting” process throughthe Michael’s Arts and Crafts stores throughout North America, and viathe QVC TV channel.

Unfortunately they still did not have the Brushstrokes.com domain, andwe were getting traffic that should’ve been going to them.

Rather than approaching us openly and directly, our first contact camein 2004 from Grant Weltman of WSP International,“a marketing company in Birmingham Alabama”. He offered us $5000 forthe Brushstrokes.com domain, which of course we turned down. Then in2005 we were approached by Mitch Wine “of WSP International”, tryingagain to see if we were interested in selling. Through all of this there was no mention of theirconnection to Brushstrokes Fine Art Inc. Had Mitch Wine approached usopenly from the beginning and made a realistic offer a deal would’vebeen reached.

Thus began an annual attempt for Brushstrokes Fine Art Inc. to try toget the Brushstrokes.com domain. It always came around the time oftheir Christmas sales push, usually shortly after Christmas when theyreviewed their sales figures.

Originally created for a magazine, this action-packed oil painting depicts the 1927 flood of the Mississippi River in all of its tragic glory. The Infantryman By William Gaul

The watercolor of a lonely soldier lighting his cigarette is exactly the type of art that is the Morris forte. There is plenty of skill evident in the work, but it derives its importance from the story it tells about life as a soldier during the Civil War and the portrait it paints of the men who fought.
