Childrens Imaginations Take Center Stage At Play Street Museum

Imagine taking the hands-on exhibits and imaginative play of a childrens museum and putting them in a space as warm and comfortable as your playroom at home. Also imagine that you can sit back and relax as you watch your children or grandchildren play just a few feet away, or that you can join in on the fun.

Now imagine that someone else follows your kids around, keeping the museum neat and tidy!

Well, you no longer need to imagine! This is the idea behind Play Street Museum Highlands Ranch!

Play Street Museum is an interactive childrens museum and indoor play area purposefully designed to encourage a young childs sense of independence, exploration, and creativity. By narrowing the focus of the museum to the interests and imaginations of children ages 8 and under, youngsters can discover educational exhibits and activities in a world crafted just for them.

Because of the deliberate and manageable scale, children are able to self-navigate through the museum, reinforcing independence while creating a relaxed and accommodating experience for children and adults alike.

Children will have fun imagining and pretending in the miniature Town Square buildings. Here, future chefs can whip up pretend pizzas, coffees, and ice cream sundaes. Future doctors, dentists, and veterinarians can practice caring for others and their pets. Future moms and dads can pretend in their own little house. And future firefighters can ride in the little fire engine and put out a pretend fire.

Q: What Is One Of Your Favorite Memories In Denver

A: Do you remember that blizzard in March of 2018 that they called a Bomb Cyclone? Thats when we drove in to Colorado from Texas! It was crazy, but there was so much snow, and my kids just had so much fun in it! Its always fun to see your kids experience something for the first time.

That is so fun for your kids!!! I do remember that storm because we flew to London the day it hit and we were so nervous that our flight was going to be canceled.

Friscos Play Street Museum

Play Street Museum Allen TX | Adventure Review | EXCLUSIVE!

Over Spring Break, my family and I visited Play Street Museum Friscos newest indoor play space for kids. What I was hearing from fellow Frisco Moms is true its like nothing else we have in Frisco. Its a hands-on, creative concept that fosters pretend play, imagination, and social skills for young children.

Upon entrance, my two daughters eyes lit up! To them, its pretend play heaven, with wooden playhouses galore modeled after Frisco staples Kennys Burger Joint, a Frisco Fire Station, Kroger, and an FISD school bus . Each of the playhouses is filled with pretend play toys .

My girls first made a beeline to Kennys Burger Joint. Its impossible to resist with a kid-sized booth, drive-thru window, and menus. Instantly the girls took charge of ordering, serving, and eating in their own restaurant.

Our next stop was the mock Kroger. If you need to stock up on child-sized Tide detergent, this kids store has it!

The Firehouse comes equipped with a fire truck and a fire hose. Which is important, because there is a house on fire next door!

At the Animal Hospital, the girls put leashes on stuffed puppies and kittens, fed them, and then tucked them into their cages for a nap!

Each playhouse offers its own experience. The Medical Clinic has a stretcher, crutches, and exam table for its patients. The Academy has school desks, a chalkboard, and teaching tools. The Home center includes a washer/dryer that spins, fireplace, and full kitchen.

Great Place To Have A Birthday Party

The do a great job putting on birthday parties for kiddos. We scheduled our grand daughter’s party here and let them handle everything !

366

We recently took our nearly 2 year old granddaughter to the Play Street Museum. It was such fun to watch her play, going from spot to spot. This location has stores and businesses as well as a home. There is also a creative arts area. She happily went between places having a ball. There’s no charge for the accompanying adults, and a reasonable cost for kids. It is small so there may be a wait to get in, but there are small tables with books and activities to keep them busy while they wait. Wonderful place for little ones.

This is an excellent rainy day must for those with kids under the age of 8 years old. There all all types of pretend businesses, dress up, arts and craft, building toys, etc. Always clean and the toys get refreshed often. Snacks are available for purchase and there is a specific eating area. Great place for birthday parties or play dates. Nice, clean bathroom. Big enough for the kids to play but small enough that you can easily keep an eye on them. Moms can actually sit and chat with out having to worry about the little ones. The kids love it!

Q: What Inspired You To Open A Play Street Museum Franchise

Parties Play Street Museum

A: As a mostly stay-at-home mom back in Texas, I discovered Play Street Museum and brought my toddler twins there. It was a fantastic place for all three of us the kids could play and learn for hours!

The museums were always small enough that I could see them wherever they went. Sometimes they wanted to involve me in their play, and sometimes they wanted to do their own thing! So Id get a little break, but knew that they were learning and having fun at the same time.

I really think God nudged me to look into opening a franchise ourselves I dont think I would have been brave enough alone! And I just love adventure, so moving to Colorado to do it was just fun!

Meet Nicole Simon Of Play Street Museum

Today wed like to introduce you to Nicole Simon.

Nicole, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin? While briefly living in Dallas Texas, I frequented Play Street Museum. After moving back to St. Louis they began franchising. I decided to open Play Street Museum because I thought it was something missing from our market, and our children and community would enjoy it. Because Play Street is a small-scale museum, it makes it easier for young children to explore on their own, giving them a greater sense of independence. Kids are able to figure out things on their own instead of having their parents hover around them all the time. Parents can join in on the fun or sit back and relax and let their kiddos discover, imagine, and explore.

Thanks so what else should our readers know about Play Street Museum?A CHILDRENS MUSEUM AND INDOOR PLAY AREA LETS IMAGINATIONS WANDER Play Street Museum is an interactive childrens museum and indoor play area purposefully designed to encourage a young childs sense of independence, exploration, and creativity.

Because of our deliberate and manageable scale, kids are able to self navigate throughout the childrens museum and indoor play area to engage deeply in activities about which they are most interested and passionate. This freedom reinforces independence in the child and also has the benefit of creating a more relaxed and accommodating museum experience for the caregiver.

Super Moms And Entrepreneurs

The Play Museum is the brainchild of Courtney Muccio, a mother of four who has spent most of her career in early childhood education. Her experience in the classroom and home with her own children taught her both the joys and the stresses of parenting. She created a childrens indoor play space and museum to help her own children to be happy with lasting memories while productively channeling their boundless enthusiasm.

She asked herself, How can I recharge my parenting batteries when my kids are fully charged but I am on low or empty? This inspired the creation of Play Street Museum.

Courtney Bennett owns the Mansfield Play Museum along with her husband, Zach. She was born in New Mexico and spent most of her childhood growing up in the DFW area, then attended the University of North Texas where she earned a degree in Fashion Merchandising. She and her husband own the Fort Worth Play museum also, which is built to look like an old-fashioned friendly town square.

The couple met while living in Dallas in 2013 and have three children: Hadleigh, 5 William, 2.5 and Charlotte, nine months.

The new Mansfield location is at 110 South US Highway 287, Suite 118, Mansfield, 76063. There are also locations in Allen, Lake Highlands, McKinney, Murphy, Plano, and Fort Worth.

Note:

· Open Monday-Friday for Play By Reservation from 8:30am-5:30pm and closed on the weekends for Private Parties or Special Events.

The Museum has both a website and Facebook page.

INDOOR PLAY AREA BENEFITSWe offer a safe and imaginative kids indoor play area for the simple reason that it is fun for children. Also, we love science and data. The evidence supporting the significant developmental benefits of open and pretend play for young children continues to be added to by comprehensive research in the field of child development and educational psychology.

Providing time for our children to have self directed play stimulates their imaginations, encourages them to problem solve, and allows them to refine their social skills helping them to build a strong framework for a lifetime of learning.

Despite all that we know about the benefits of play, the actual time children spend playing continues to decline precipitously. According to a recent study , children today play eight hours less each week than their counterparts did only two decades ago.
