New York is about to get a whole lot sweeter. The juggernaut that is the Museum of Ice Cream, which helped kick the pop-up museum trend into high gear with the launch of its first New York edition in 2016, has announced plans to return to the city with its first permanent space, coming this fall to 558 Broadway in Soho. The original version, sited across from the Whitney Museum in the Meatpacking District, was an instant sensation, selling out 30,000 tickets in just five days.
To date, the MOIC has had over 1.5 million visitors across pop-ups in Los Angeles, New York, Miami, and San Francisco. It has also branched into retail with a Sephora makeup collection, a branded ice cream, and a branded childrens clothing line for Target. It has also inspired seemingly countless imitators, from the avocado-themed CADO, to the Museum of Pizza, to the Dream Machine.
If you havent had your Instagram moment at the MOIC yet, it may have been worth waiting. The new museum will cover nearly 25,000 square feet, with the largest version of its signature sprinkle pool to date. Guests can also look forward to 13 brand new installations inspired by ice cream and other desserts, created by MOICs architects and designers. Highlights will include a three-story slide, a floating table of desserts, a hall of giant scoops, a MTA-inspired Celestial Subway, and a hidden Queen Bee hive.

I’m telling you not just my experience, but what each room consists of and what it looks like. Additionally, these are my personal thoughts about MY experience overall, but it may not be what you encounter on your trip. It shouldn’t act as a deterrent or a recommendation. Float Among The Clouds
The celestial pink subway and adjoining sky room makes you feel like youre living in the clouds. With 360 screens, you are seemingly moving and floating and flying. Also, I have to note here that its particularly impressive how the MOIC spaces out guests. The entrance was crowded, so I was worried all the installations would be packed. But, in reality, we had many rooms all to ourselves.

What To Expect At Ice Cream Museum
Your Ice Cream Museum experience starts with what else but ice cream, something the museum calls the palette cleanser.
Then you go through exciting rooms such as Helium balloon room, Sundae room, Chocolate room, Sprinkle pool, etc., each a unique experience in itself.
All along you can take tonnes of photographs because every corner seems beautiful.
Some of the highlights are sliding down the 3-story indoor Ice Cream Portal, riding to the outer space in the Celestial Subway, dancing through the Rainbow Tunnel, and getting into New Yorks only Sprinkle Pool.

The city of New York is taking over about 100 parking spots to make room for EV charging stations. They are taking on a four-year plan to encourage those coming into the city to purchase electric vehicles. These new spots are only available to electric vehicles. There are currently about 15,000 EVs in New York City with approximately 1,400 Level 2 plugs. These plugs take about four to eight hours to charge to about 80%. There are a little more than 100 EV charging stations that charge faster, up to 80% in less than one hour. Electric vehicle owners will find that the new EV charging stations are equipped with Level 2 plugs.
How Timed Tickets Work
You can arrive at the entrance of the Ice Cream Museum up to half an hour after your ticketed entry time.
That is, if your ticket has 3 pm mentioned on it, you can enter the museum till 3.30 pm.
If you arrive more than 30 minutes late, the guest relationship manager tries their best to accommodate your entry.
However, admission is not guaranteed. You wont get a refund as well.

If you want to see a show on Broadway, you will need to provide proof of vaccination and keep your mask on while in the theater. Children under 12 that are unable to get vaccinated will need to provide proof of a recent negative COVID-19 test.
All 41 theaters on Broadway require proof of vaccinations and that masks be worn while in the theaters except while eating in designated areas. Unfortunately, Carnegie Hall and the Metropolitan Opera House will not be allowing children under 12 to attend performances. Children over 12 at these two locations will require vaccination proof.

The Five Boro Bike Tour by TD Bank is a fundraising event by nonprofit organization Bike New York, which promotes cycling as a healthy and sustainable means of transportation in the city. Ice Cream Museum ticket costs $47.50 for all visitors three years and above.
At $56.08 for all visitors three years and above, Ice Cream Museums night tickets are costlier than the regular tickets.
The museum doesnt offer discounts for seniors, students, or the disabled.
Infants younger than three years dont need tickets and can enter for free.
Note: During the tour, you get to eat delicious treats, all included with your admission.

Tickets For The Shows
The TCKTS booth in Times Square is reopened. You can get next-day tickets and in some cases, same-day tickets at a discount at this popular booth. Of course, social distancing protocols and masks are mandatory.
You can buy your tickets directly from the theater websites online, and at Ticket Master, but be prepared to find a lot of sold-out shows. On opening night, Wicked, Lion King, and Hamilton were all sold out.
The theaters are open at 100% capacity but tickets are going fast. People that are eager to get back to life are making the Broadway reopening their debut back into NYC nightlife.

Its easy to get to there are a bunch of ways for you to arrive at the Ice Cream Museum. We recommend taking the 4, 5, or 6 trains that run through Spring Street station. Alternatively, you can take the N, Q, or R trains to Prince Street station which is just across the street from our amazing establishment.
Bus Route M1, M55, SIM1, SIM1C can drop you at Broadway/W Houston Street, which is about 5 minutes walk from the Ice Cream Museum.
There are many parking garages available near the Ice Cream Museum.
Museum Of Ice Cream Nyc Hours
Located in New York, the Ice Cream Museum is open daily, except Tuesdays. This charming ice cream shop re-creates the history of ice cream and invites enthusiasts to sample different types of this cool food for a small fee. The shop also offers free tours on weekends for groups of eight or more.
The Ice Cream Museum is open 10am 5:30pm from Wednesday to Monday. They remain closed on Tuesdays.
After the day visits end, it reopens at 6:30 PM for its second act, this time with a completely different selection of ice sculptures by leading local and international artists.
This is also where we recommend our more adventurous visitors to come, although we ask that those 16 years and older for our night visit.
Night at the Museum is open different hours depending on the day of the week, and it is closed on certain holidays. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, its open from 7:30 to 7:30 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, its open from 8 to 8:30 pm and on Sundays, its open from 8 to 8:00 pm.
This place is open every day of the year except Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day.
