Boca Raton Museum Of Art + Kapow Noodle Bar Boca Raton

After diving deep into the world of the silver screen, its time to make your own onomatopoeic journey to Kapow! Noodle Bar just down the street. First Look: A Modern Museum Restaurant To Match The Nortons Renovation

Glorious art and lush views are not the only reasons to visit the newly revamped Norton Museum of Art, which opened to the public Saturday. The new museum café has its own artistic charms in the form of shareable bites, respectable entrees and at least one French-inspired dessert that seduces the eye with the colors of a Matisse.

The Restaurant at the Norton, the cafés formal name, is operated by Constellation Culinary Group , the national company that runs eateries and catering venues at Carnegie Hall, the New York Botanical Garden, Washington DCs National Gallery of Art, the Philadelphia Museum of Art and Miamis Perez Art Museum.

Stylish, upscale and worthy of a Friday night dinner or drinks and small bites, the restaurant spills out onto a an outdoor terrace that overlooks the museums garden. The space feels like a true restaurant, not a room thats attached to a museum.

During a media lunch and museum tour Tuesday, we saw the place buzzing with visitors. A glance about the restaurant found diners chattering over their meals and no signs of slow service.

We sampled a few dishes and found Executive Chef David Schiraldos menu leans coastal-café with nods to local and regional flavors. One of the salad options, in fact, celebrates locally grown tomatoes from farmer Walter Ross Farmhouse Tomatoes in Lake Worth. Walts Tomatoes , large enough to be a lunch entree, are served with whipped burrata and quinoa and scattered with pomegranate and hemp seeds.

Norton Museum Of Art In West Palm Beach Is Now Serving Delectable Dishes

    Caroline Buia

After a $100 million renovation, there was no way the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach would set up a middling culinary cafe for its well-heeled patrons. Rather, its new light-filled eatery, designed by Foster + Partners, is a refuge for digesting art and artful dishes.

Ahi tuna tartare features avocado, rice pearls and tempura shiso.

With indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the Pamela and Robert B. Goergen Garden, it can handle up to 165 guests. On Friday nights, locals flock to the cafe and the museum for the popular Art After Dark series. We want to be a community destination, says executive chef David Schiraldo. The Restaurant at the Norton is a modern eatery with global influences, fine wine, inventive cocktails, locally grown produce, fresh seafood and eye-catching desserts.
