With over 60 acres to explore, theres lots of room for littles to run off energy, including a dedicated childrens adventure garden and theres an extensive calendar of special events, including puppet story times and STEM sessions.

George W Bush Presidential Library And Museum
George W. Bush presided over America in one of our greatest times of turmoil. This library and museum contains one of the 22-foot crumpled, steel beams from the towers, a representation of the Oval Office where kids can take a picture behind the presidential desk, and gifts presented to the Bushs by heads of foreign nations. This unique museum is the only one dedicated to MADI art in the United States. OKWhat is MADI art though? MADI stands for Movement Abstraction Dimension Invention, and it was started in Buenos Aires in the 1940s. The movement focuses on creating art that is not constrained to the 2-D frame and is not classically representative of the subject. The 20th-century art focuses on the colors and shapes inherent in objects instead of a direct representation of them. Dallas residents this is the place that will ever be remembered as a somber reality to our history. The Sixth Floor Museum is the old book depository, where the shot that killed JFK was fired. Dealy Plaza is the location that JFK was driving through when he was fatally shot.

The Frontiers Of Flight Museum
With 100,000 square feet, 13 galleries, and 35,000 artifacts, this hangar at Dallas Love Field Airport is Nirvana for anyone interested in aeronautics. The museum currently boasts the original Apollo 7 command module , a replica of Sputnik, and a replica of the 1903 Wright Flyer. Frontiers Of Flight Museum
This museum is hard to miss with the giant Southwest airplane sticking out of one end of the building. Within the 10,000 sq ft space, youll find more than 30 aircrafts to wander, both inside and outside, along with several display galleries. Collections include early biplanes, historically important military and general aviation aircraft, the World War II exhibit, an extensive history of Southwest Airlines, the iconic Chance Vought V-173 FlyingPancake and the Apollo 7 command module. Its open from 10 am – 5 pm Monday-Saturday and 1-5 pm on Sunday. Admission starts at $10 for adults.
Crow Asian Art Collection
Right across the street from the Nasher sits an incredible collection of Asian art amassed by Dallas magnate Trammell Crow and his wife Margaret. Pieces hail from Southeast Asia, India, China and Japan, ranging in size from instruments and vases to full-scale battle armor. A sculpture garden offers peace amidst the city bustle and grand statues from temples and tombs overseas. The Collection hosts tours, lectures and yoga and tai chi classes all month.

National Multicultural Western Heritage Museum
The Multicultural Western Heritage Museum is dedicated to those often overlooked in whitewashed textbooks of state history: the American Indians and Cowboys of Color that have shaped the metroplex. The venue stands out as a humble, unsensational view of the real frontier, highlighting an essential portion of history.
Turtle Creek Parkway Park
Built in 1913, Turtle Creek Parkway park is a 23.7-acre linear park in between Turtle Creek and Turtle Creek Boulevard in the aptly named Turtle Creek neighborhood. Archaeological surveys discovered dart points and flint chips dating 3,000 years to 1,000 BCE. This site was later discovered to be home to Native Americans who cherished the trees and natural spring water. The park is across Turtle Creek from Kalita Humphreys Theater, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.

Meadows Museum Of Art
The Meadows Museum of Art was founded by Algur H. Meadows who spent decades of his life cultivating an immense collection of Spanish artwork. The collection includes works by Francisco de Goya, Pablo Picasso, Joan Miro, Juan Gris and many more, and is known to have one of the best Spanish art collections outside of Spain. Along with the original collection, the Meadows Museum continually acquires more artwork that is also on display along with the University Art Collection and the Elizabeth Meadows Sculpture collection. Visitors can see the collections Tuesday-Saturday from 10 am – 5 pm and Sunday from 1 – 5 pm, and tickets are $12 for adults.
Modern Art Museum Of Fort Worth
Opened in 2002, the Modern is largely considered a work of art in itself. The building was designed by Japanese architect Tadao Ando, whose style comes through in the sleek lines and minimalist glass and concrete elements. Collections specialize in post-World War II works, including sculpture, video, painting and more.

Amon Carter- Nestled in the Fort Worth Cultural District of Fort Worth, this free museum focuses on American art. Admission to their permanent collection is always free, and access to most of their temporary exhibits is free but check online for the latest updates. The Amon Carter Museum also sponsors family days regularly, with crafts and other fun activities including storytime for the younger set, lectures, talks, and tours by experts which are also free.
Meadows Museum-The Meadows Museum offers complimentary admission on Thursdays after 5 pm. This Southern Methodist University museum has one of the largest collections of Spanish art outside of Spain.
