Sky Trail Ropes Course
Conquer your fears on this 36-foot-high multilevel structure, featuring 35 different elements. The course is designed with challenging high-energy feats ideal for all ages. For added safety, once you “clip in” and connect your harness to start the course, you won’t detach it until you are back on the ground.
Hours are subject to weather conditions. The Sky Trail Ropes Course will be open additional hours during holidays and school breaks.

In the Beautiful Palace of Fine Arts building, three floors are dedicated to the mans discovery and exploration of the natural world. The 800 exhibits are incredible, and include some of humanitys crowning scientific achievements the Zephr train that broke the land speed record in the 1930s, a model coal mine, and an Appolo 8 module are the prime attractions, but they are only the tip of the iceberg. Camp and Program RefundsAll registrations subject to camp availability. MOSI reserves the right to combine or cancel classes that have not met the minimum enrollment. Campers or participants will be placed in an alternative class when possible. If cancels a class, payment will be fully refunded. For special circumstances, a 75% credit or refund will be granted for written requests made 14 or more days before the first day of the camp or program session. A 50% credit or refund will be granted for written requests made 13 or fewer days prior to the first day of the camp or program session. No refunds will be granted on or after the first day of the camp or program session.

Cost Of Ticketed Experiences And Special Exhibits On Free Day
To get access to Ticketed Experiences on free day you can purchase tickets for $12 per adult and $9 per child. Special Exhibits can cost more. Heres information about all exhibits. You can buy tickets to each Experience when you enter the museum or at the entrance to each experience, if its not already sold out. Admission to these Experiences and exhibits have timed entry so leave plenty of time to get to your location.

Visiting The Museum Of Science And Industry Today
If Julian Rosenwald could see his dream now the Museum of Science and Industry has done more than fill the former Palace of Fine Arts. Its fourteen acres and four hundred thousand square feet are brimming with nearly thirty-five thousand artifacts.
The Coal Mine U505 Submarine the Hatchery, where kids have been watching chicks break out of their shells since 1956 and the Fairy Castle continue to be popular, and theyre joined by newer exhibits that cover a breadth of disciplines. The museum replaced the walk-in heart with a 3D model.
The Santa Fe Railroad became the Great Train Story, a minutely detailed model railroad depicting transportation from Chicago to Seattle. Its located in the Transportation Gallery, which has everything from a model of the Wright Brothers plane to an actual Boeing 727.
The Hatchery is now part of Genetics: Decoding Life. Toymaker 3000 is a real working toy assembly line. Yesterdays Mainstreet goes back in time to early 20th Century Chicago, and the Henry Crown Space Center is out of this world.

The Chicago Childrens Museum offers veterans and active military free admission every day with the presentation of valid military status identification. Active Military And Veteran Discounts
Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, active Military personnel and their families get free admission with valid ID.
Even if you don’t plan on visiting during that time, it should be noted that all active military personnel and veterans get free admission for themselves when they present a valid ID any day of the year.
The only difference is that your family can join for free during the period between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
Museum Of Contemporary Art
The Museum of Contemporary Art is always free for visitors under age 18, visitors with disabilities and their caregivers receive free admission, members of the military and police and fire departments and veterans, and Illinois elementary and high school teachers.

Museum Of Science And Industry Exhibits
The Museum of Science and Industrys oldest exhibit is the Coal Mine. Opening with the museum, this exhibit shows visitors what it was like to descend into a coal mine.
The U-505 exhibit features the only World War II German submarine of its kind in the United States , and its been at the museum since 1954.
Other popular exhibits include The Great Train Story, a 3,500 square foot model train, and a Boeing 727 jet that was flown into Meigs Field.
Theres also a chick hatchery, a Pioneer Zephyr, and a flight simulator for the P-51 Mustang, F-4 Phantom II, F-16 Fighting Falcon.
Yesterdays Mainstreet showcases a Chicago street from the 1920s, including a working ice cream parlor.
Science Storms is a cool two story exhibit that features a tornado that you can step into, a tsunami tank, and a Tesla coil.
In addition to their ever-growing and improving permanent exhibits, the museum frequently hosts temporary exhibits.
Some of the most notable ones have included Body Worlds, which featured plastinated human specimens, and Leonardo Da Vinci: Man, Inventor, Genius.
