The Glassell School of Art is ideally suited for cocktail parties and receptions. Weather permitting, limited elements may take place on the PNC Roof Garden.
Designed by Steven Holl Architects and opened in 2018, the L-shaped building is constructed from nearly 200 sandblasted, precast concrete panels, alternating with panes of glass, in a rhythm of verticals and slight angles. The Glassell School of Art is the teaching institute of the MFAH, offering classes and workshops for all ages at the Studio School and Junior School and the Core Residency Program for postgraduate artists and critics.

Lora Jean Kilroy Visitor & Education Center At Bayou Bend

Bayou Bends award-winning Kilroy Visitor Center is a popular setting for receptions, meetings, and parties. The sleek glass-and-steel architecture offers light-filled spaces, a two-story lobby, and beautiful views. At night, exterior lighting provides a surrounding glow. Added features include exhibitions and a media wall.
The Visitor Center serves as a modern gateway to historic Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens. Designed by Houston architect Leslie K. Elkins and opened in 2010, the Visitor Center is just four miles from downtown or the Galleria, easily reached via Memorial Drive, Allen Parkway, Loop 610, or I-10. Political, commercial, fundraising, and religious events are not permitted.

The MFA is now booking dates for on-site private events for fall 2021 and beyond! The MFA is a safe and trusted venue for a variety of occasions, marrying fine art and fine dining in one of Bostons most spectacular settings. The Museum offers elegant and memorable spaces that can accommodate everything from bridal showers and intimate anniversary parties to stunning weddings and unforgettable corporate holiday parties for several thousand guests. The Houston Museum Of Fine Arts: A Different Way To Entertain
Today were taking a trip to the museum district to take a look at the Museum of Fine Arts where corporate functions of various sizes and weddings seeking a non-traditional path come to host events.
There are of course options that include a chapel or you can see it is made for banquet tables, but the MFAH offers unique elements like the Ideson Library we visited that can be really unexpected and also heighten the guest experience!
And for a good cause too. When you entertain in partnership with the MFAH you simultaneously support the Museums exhibitions, programs, and community outreach as well.
Wedding Dress & Favorite Wedding Accessory
Jaras wedding dress was a custom made Marleigh dress of the Galia Lahav Couture collection.
Special features included a detachable train which was removed following the wedding ceremony to allow dancing during the reception.

How They Knew They Found The One
James knew Jara was the one when he first met her back in High School.
The way she looked and carried herself was like an angel. When we reconnected in our adult ages around 26, Jaras spirit captivated me, and I knew I was in love based on the way we both worked well together. A life partner is exactly what you want because marriage is a partnership and you want your teammate to be the perfect match one you can love, respect, and build with. Jara is exactly that, My Queen.
Jaraknew James was the one after watching him deal with adversity.
James is a mini-cooper fan and owned a prized green mini convertible when we first began to date. He jokes that his mini cooper is what won my interest in the first place. During my fourth year of medical school while visiting James one weekend we got into a motor vehicle accident on the interstate and totaled his car. Mortified, James instantly offered to buy me an Uber to the airport so that I would not miss my flight to Michigan for a residency interview. He planned to then sit on the side of the interstate by himself awaiting a tow truck. I quickly looked up the flight schedule for the remainder of the day and saw that I was able to book an evening flight leaving at 8:00pm. Instead of leaving him we spent the morning waiting for the tow truck and then had a late lunch at Lauriol Plaza, which is now one of my favorite restaurants.

Im a Brit living in Montreal with my wife, Evelyne and our three boys, Elliott, Isaac and Jonas! Evelyne and I met in the Alps in 2003 when Evelyne thought she was a cool snowboarder and I thought I was a superstar DJ. We got married in 2007 in Cornwall, England and moved to Canada in 2014.
I photographed my first wedding in 2006 and have now shot almost 500 weddings, mostly in Canada & the UK, but I absolutely love travelling anywhere in the world. I enjoyed it when I started but love my job now more than ever.
Museum Of Fine Arts Houston Wedding
Hilary and David got married at The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston on a rainy day. We were able to get a handful of images outside their venue before venturing inside the Museum of Fine Arts to get some photos in front of their favorite art pieces.
Plants n Petals transformed the space by adding tropical plants all over the reception space.
This couple had amazing style and grace throughout the entire day. From Hilarys multifunctional cape and pearl headband to David sporting his amazing cowboy hat. Then they left for the afterparty in their vintage car with amazing red seats.

Museum Fine Arts Of St Pete Wedding
Dinara and Rick tied the knot during their Museum of Fine Arts St Pete wedding in St Pete, Florida. A more contemporary wedding, I loved how modern elements their wedding day held from Dinaras tea length dress to having their wedding day at an art museum.
It felt like we knew each other for years
Falling in love over two years ago, the two met by chance at a mutual friends birthday party. While attending the birthday part at a local brewery in St Pete, they happened to strike up a conversation and immediately connected over their many hared interests. As Dinara reminisces, if felt like weve known each other for years. Following the one fateful night, the two met up for an official first date the following weekend and have been together ever since.
Ricks kind-hearted, loving, and optimistic personality won Dinaras heart over. As she explains, he always brings out the best in me. For Rick, he also loves how caring and warm Dinara is, along with her fun personality, and how she helps him grown both personally and emotionally. Encouraging one another to continue to strive to be the best they can be, they value each others happiness individually and as partners.

Elopements At The Mmfa
Looking for something more intimate and romantic than a courthouse? Consider the natural beauty of our gardens or galleries as the setting for your ceremony. Our elopement package is available for up to twelve of your family and friends and is only available Tuesday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. We have multiple gallery locations on the grounds to choose from for up to two hours.
Elopements may be booked no earlier than one month in advance.
How They Met
Jara and James first met at the end of their senior year of high school at a Jack & Jill teen conference while waiting for the elevator. In that moment, James was star-struck. He thought she was the prettiest woman he had ever see and quickly introduced himself. Though their love story didnt start there, that moment was the beginning of their story.
After high school, Jara went on to attend Brown University while James attended Howard University. During their time in college James would always reach out to Jara and invite her to parties he was hosting. While she never attended these, she always replied to him, leaving lines of communication open.
Once they both graduated and began their professional careers, Jara let James know she would be in DC for a month working at the Howard University Hospital as she was preparing to graduate from med school and gearing up for residency training in the field of Ophthalmology. Of course, James was excited to potentially see Jara again!
FInally, in the fall of 2016, the pair reconnected at a party . James looked at Jara the same way he looked at her the first time they met when he was 17. They were like magnets and fell in love instantly.
