Missouri History Museum celebrates Pride Month with traveling exhibit

The Womans Building has been home to the Missouri State Fair Gift Shop & Museum since its debut at the 2003 Fair. The museum has many interesting Fair exhibits & memorabilia on display, donated or loaned by generous individuals throughout the state. Of special interest is the Missouri State Fair Queen exhibit. The Gift Shop offers official State Fair logo souvenirs & collector items. All proceeds from the Gift Shop& d Museum donations are used for preservation & improvement initiatives on the Missouri State Fairgrounds.

O Missouri History Museum foi fundado em 1866. O edifício original em estilo neoclássico, que se encontra no local onde ficava a entrada da Feira Mundial de 1904, foi construído em 1913. Hoje ele abriga a entrada do museu e a coleção permanente. Há duas galerias voltadas para a história de St. Louis, e uma terceira que conta a história da Feira Mundial de 1904 por meio de fotos e souvenirs.

Não perca o destaque da coleção permanente: uma réplica do Spirit of St. Louis, pendurada no teto do Grande Salão. Ela foi usada no filme homônimo de 1957.

Your support is important to bringing the Museum’s exhibits, education, and outreach to all members of our community.

Since 2007, the Museum of Anthropology has been committed to offering fair trade items and gifts for purchase in the museum’s shop. The shop is run entirely by volunteers and is a great place to find something different.

You can also support the museum by visiting our GIVING page and donating remotely.

The Museum of Anthropologys shop is located on the first floor of Mizzou North and is in shared space with the Museum of Art & Archaeology’s Museum Store. All of the products for sale in our area of the store are fair trade, and sales support good working conditions and artists’ wages for ethically-produced products. We feature unique gifts from around the world, including Mexico, Central and South America, India, and Africa, as well as museum merchandise.

We accept credit cards , cash and personal checks.

The Museum Store is open Tuesday through Sunday and closed on Mondays – hours open are subject to volunteer availability.

The Missouri History Museum Shop is a wonderful source of books and gifts relating to the history and culture of the St. Louis region as well as the new STL Strong Collection.
