Free Fridays At The Intrepid Sea Air & Space Museum
This year, the legendary battleship that’s now the Intrepid, Sea, Air & Space Museum has announced an exciting new initiative: free admission on Friday nights! April through October, this space and engineering museum in New York City will offer free admission on select Friday evenings. Bring your family to these exciting events for an engaging look into space exploration, aeronautical engineering, environmental conservation, and more.

Free Friday nights will occur once a month, April through October in 2019. The dates are as follows: April 26, May 31, June 21, July 19, August 16, September 27, and October 25. Free admission hours will be 5pm until 9pm on all dates listed above.
In addition to tours of museum exhibits, visitors will experience a range of programming during these special Fridays. Movie screenings, live performances, telescope viewings, and educational talks will be planned on these dates on a range of topics that will engage kids and adults alike.
Right now, you and your family can also immerse yourselves in Intrepid like never before! In the mixed-VR exhibit Defying Gravity: Women in Space, Dr. Mae Jemison, the first black woman in space, tells you her fascinating story via hologram! There are also 4D experiences on Intrepid that simulate flying a jet plane and a Navy fighter jet.
Priority Entry + 4d Experience
Besides priority access to Intrepid Museum, this ticket also gets you a memorable 4D Simulator Experience.
You wear 3D glasses and experience an eight-minute 4D movie featuring never-before-seen historical footage.
To get on this simulator and enjoy immersive stories of courage and heroism, visitors must be at least 40 inches tall.

Priority Entry + Intrepid 101 Guided Tour
If you are traveling with kids ten years and above, this is a perfect option for you.
Besides priority Intrepid Museum entry, this ticket also includes a 60-minute guided tour of the attraction.
Visitors learn about the history of Intrepid and explore the hangar deck, where engineers maintained the aircraft and the flight deck, which launched numerous aircraft into war.
On weekdays the Intrepid tour starts at 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm, and on weekends , they are scheduled for 11 am, 12 noon, 1 pm, 2 pm, and 3 pm.
Once you reach the Museum, you will get the timeslot for your guided tour.
The time slot is for the tour. You can visit the Museum whenever you want.
You may want to wear comfortable shoes because this tour requires a lot of walking and standing.

Intrepid Sea Air & Space Museum
As its name suggests, the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum is a military and maritime , specially dedicated to the history of warplanes, ships, and space travel in the US. Three fantastic museums in one! It is home to the famous USS Intrepid vessel.

The Intrepid Museum definitely ensures a different kind of museum experience that attracts, since it opened its doors in 1982, more than just tech savvy visitors! With your Intrepid Museum tickets you get to see all original military planes and maritime ships from the U.S. and other countries as well as the famous Space Shuttle Enterprise. All of them were utilized in historical missions and distinguished themselves from other vehicles by their innovative and groundbreaking technology.
If you are planning on visiting the Intrepid with your kids, then you should take them to the Exploreum Hall, an interactive area, where they can become a pilot and take over the cockpit of the an actual Bell 47 helicopter or navigate a submarine through the sea. A Trip To Little Island
We had plans to spend approx. 3 hours but it was too hot, there was no live entertainment and the food trucks were closed for a break. The only shaded areas available were in the food court section which is served by a couple of food trucks offering small bites and sips. Menu items consist of local sandwiches, sweet treats and a local beer/cocktail menu.
It was good to see the space but next time wed plan around one of their live performances for a more entertaining visit. I would note that the park was crowded and even more crowds came in by midday when we were leaving. The few staff around were helpful. And we all liked it better than The Vessel at Hudson Yards.

Yes. During the COVID-19 emergency, there are new rules that allow college students to get food stamps in New York.
If you are a student eligible to participate in a state or federal work-study program, you may now also be eligible for food stamps.
You may still be eligible even if you are not currently employed in a work-study program.

If your expected family contribution is $0, and you meet other food stamps eligibility requirements, you are eligible for SNAP.
How do I know what my EFC is?
Your EFC is found in your Student Aid Report and it is calculated based on information provided in your Free Application for Federal Student Aid .
It is important to note that these new SNAP eligibility rules for students will last until one month after the public health emergency from COVID-19 is officially lifted.
However, if you are a student and are approved for SNAP due to these new rules, your benefits will last until your next recertification even if the public health emergency is ended first.

What Grocery Stores Accept New York Ebt For Delivery
On April 18, 2019, the U.S. Department of Agriculture began a two-year pilot for online purchasing SNAP participants in New York State.
SNAP households with New York EBT cards will be able to use their benefits to purchase eligible food items online at select retailers.

Our interest in visiting Lincoln Center developed years ago when Annie suggested it as a place to visit and then highlight here. She talked about checking out the grounds with her day program and how much she enjoyed the welcoming outdoor spaces. Seeing the beauty and splendor of the interior from the outside and knowing its prominence in pop and not so pop – culture created a strong desire to attend indoor events as well, and that same desire is echoed by our familys awareness of Lincoln Centers reputation for stellar performing arts programming year-round.
Our love story with Lincoln Center started last year with their Passports for the Arts program, which was both virtual and in-person. We had a ball experiencing Cinderella. We enjoyed Passport for the Arts so much that we signed up for their spring session, delighting in yet another in-person program with the New York City Ballet at Family Saturday: A Magical Midsummer Eve.
