According to USA Today, the Museum of Ice Cream is opening a permanent, flagship location in New York City, so you can indulge in all things dairy to your hearts content.
At the new museum, located at 558 Broadway in Soho, guests are greeting with a strawberry pink lobby complete with a giant ice cream scoop, USA Today reported. So far, so good. Then, guests will be able to walk through 13 new exhibits inside the 25,000 square foot space, according to NBC News. And yes, theres free ice cream throughout the museum.
The museum put up several pop-up locations throughout the country, including Los Angeles, Miami, and New York, as well as a permanent location in San Francisco. The museum is more of an immersive art experience, one that provides multi-sensorial expressions of ice cream that cater to the appetites of our generation, according to the museum’s website.
Among the many rooms guests can explore are a quintessentially New York Celestial Subway, which is actually a three-story slide a giant hall of scoops and a massive pool of rainbow sprinkles. Guests can even pick their own ice cream-inspired name tags.

Prince Street station, served by N, Q, R, and W trains, is right next to the Ice Cream Museum.
Spring Street station, serviced by 4, 5, and 6 trains, is four minutes by walk from the attraction.
Bus Numbers M1, M55, SIM1, SIM1C, etc., can drop you at Broadway/W Houston Street, which is 45 meters from the museum.
If you plan to drive, many parking garages are available nearby.
How Long Does Museum Of Ice Cream Take
Museum of Ice Cream in New York is a self-paced experience where visitors take as much time as they would like.

How Timed Tickets Work
You can arrive at the entrance of the Ice Cream Museum up to half an hour after your ticketed entry time.
That is, if your ticket has 3 pm mentioned on it, you can enter the museum till 3.30 pm.
If you arrive more than 30 minutes late, the guest relationship manager tries their best to accommodate your entry.
However, admission is not guaranteed. You wont get a refund as well.

New York is about to get a whole lot sweeter. The juggernaut that is the Museum of Ice Cream, which helped kick the pop-up museum trend into high gear with the launch of its first New York edition in 2016, has announced plans to return to the city with its first permanent space, coming this fall to 558 Broadway in Soho. The original version, sited across from the Whitney Museum in the Meatpacking District, was an instant sensation, selling out 30,000 tickets in just five days.
To date, the MOIC has had over 1.5 million visitors across pop-ups in Los Angeles, New York, Miami, and San Francisco. It has also branched into retail with a Sephora makeup collection, a branded ice cream, and a branded childrens clothing line for Target. It has also inspired seemingly countless imitators, from the avocado-themed CADO, to the Museum of Pizza, to the Dream Machine.
If you havent had your Instagram moment at the MOIC yet, it may have been worth waiting. The new museum will cover nearly 25,000 square feet, with the largest version of its signature sprinkle pool to date. Guests can also look forward to 13 brand new installations inspired by ice cream and other desserts, created by MOICs architects and designers. Instagram-sensation the Museum of Ice Cream is making a permanent return to New York City.
The haven for ice cream aficionados announced that it will open a new permanent 25,000-square-foot space at 558 Broadway in Soho this fall. The three-floor location will feature 13 installations, including one called Celestial Subway, its signature sprinkle pool, and a Queen Bee hive.
I want to continue to connect people and create moments of joy through ice cream. MOIC NYC will build upon Sohos artistic history and contribute to the neighborhoods resurgence as a place for imagination and creativity, Museum of Ice Cream co-founder and creative director Maryellis Bunn said in a statement.
New Yorkers can sign-up for an early access waitlist. Tickets, which are $38 per person, will launch sales on October 9.
The Museum of Ice Cream, founded in 2016, has featured pop-ups across the country with locations in Los Angeles and Miami. The only other city that has a permanent location is San Francisco.
As Curbeds architecture critic Alexandra Lange notes in her review, the New York MOIC pop up is an offspring of museum experiences like The Rain Room or Yayoi Kusamas mirrored Infinity Rooms that are tethered to the world by a thousand social-media posts.

Float Among The Clouds
The celestial pink subway and adjoining sky room makes you feel like you’re living in the clouds. With 360 screens, you are seemingly moving and floating and flying. Also, I have to note here that it’s particularly impressive how the MOIC spaces out guests. The entrance was crowded, so I was worried all the installations would be packed. But, in reality, we had many rooms all to ourselves.
