Mob Museum Parking And Directions
The Mob Museum is located in the heart of downtown Las Vegas adjacent to world famous Fremont Street. The historic building sits on Stewart Avenue and is a quick Uber or taxi ride from the towering resorts that line the Las Vegas Strip.
It should be noted that space for parking in the lot next to the Mob Museum is limited and fills up quickly on busy days. There is also an eight-dollar fee for four hours of parking . Locals will be quick to point out that ample parking can be found within a short walking distance of the museum at the nearby casinos including the El Cortez, The Grand, and Main Street Station.

Basement Floor The Underground
The basement floor of the Museum also known as the Mob Museum Underground, has some exciting stops on the museum tour.
It depicts how alcohol production and consumption went underground during the Prohibition.
The immersive Speakeasy- the Museums Exhibit and Bar recreates the dramatic cultural change brought about by the speakeasies or underground bars in the 1920s.
The Distillery Tour and Tasting happen on this level.
This section also has the Distillery, Pot Still, which produces the Museums own line of spirit, prohibition attire and fashion displays, and the Sunken rum runner exhibit.
The Underground exhibition space is open to visitors of all ages until 5 pm daily.

The Mob Museum was opened on February 14, 2012, the 83rd anniversary of the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre. It is designed as an interactive and visual trail that traces the history of organized crime in the United States and the countermovements of police and FBI.
It is located in the old post office and is undoubtedly one of the most interesting attractions if you are planning what to see and do in Las Vegas. Nevada’s most populous city is intimately tied to underworld happenings. If it weren’t for an intuition of mobster Bugsy Siegel, this area would still be a desert today.
The Mob Museum Opening Hours
The museum is open all week from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. Generally there are no closing days, although on some dates the hours may be reduced.
For example, if you visit Las Vegas on Christmas or other holidays, you will only be able to visit from 10:00 to 18:00.
In the basement of the building is The speakeasy, a bar that winks back to the days of Prohibition and speakeasies. Third Floor Birth Of The Mob
This section tells you how organized crime emerged from the ethnic neighborhoods in big cities and how street hoodlums became the bootlegging billionaires in the Prohibition era.
It also exhibits the defining moment in mob history- St Valentines Day Massacre in 1929 in Chicago that turned the heat on the Mob and its consequences, including additional powers and access to Law enforcement agencies.
St Valentines Day Massacre Wall
On February 14, 1929, seven members and associates of George Bugs Morans bootlegging gang were lined up against a wall and shot dead inside a commercial garage on the north side of Chicago.
Al Capones Chicago Outfit has always been the main suspects in the horrific shooting, but no one was ever prosecuted. The garage was demolished in 1967 but not before entrepreneur George Patey bought and recovered the bricks from that wall. Now, three hundred of those bricks have been put back together and are on display here with bullet holes clearly marked.

Special Tours And Games At The Mob Museum
Self-guided audio tours are available in English and Spanish for eight dollars. Audio tours allow you to decide how long you want to stay at the Mob museum by offering two possible tours: A short and a long one. The short version of the tour gives busy visitors the highlights in 40 minutes. The longer tour will dive deeper into stories such as Al Capones prison band or former Mob defense attorney and Las Vegas mayor Oscar Goodmans most notorious clients and famous cases. This version will last 75 minutes.
Groups of 10 or more can book a guided tour for an additional $10 per person. These tours last around 90 minutes and every guide brings their own personal interpretations and flair to the experience. Guided tours must be booked in advance.
