Ark Encounter Playground And Zoo
My children loved the family playground. It is honestly the most amazing playground we have ever experienced!
We also took a walk through the Ararat Ridge Zoo, and it was so exciting to see the kangaroos, lemurs, zebras, camels, ostriches, and a lot of other animals that were like those on the ark with Noah!
Experiencing the Ark Encounter is a faith-building adventure. I am so thankful that God provided a way of rescue for me through the Ark and through Jesus Christs death and resurrection from the grave. We serve a risen Savior, and Gods sovereignty over His wonderful world is on display at the Ark Encounter.

Ark Encounter Tips So You Dont Miss The Boat
1. Ark Encounter is 45 minutes south of the Creation Museum. Many people think that the Ark is right next to the Creation Museum, however it is not. If you are staying overnight at a hotel, know that there are great options in both areas. We stayed at a Comfort Inn only 6 miles from the Ark.
2. Plan your time well and purchase the tickets that make sense for your family. If you plan on visiting the Creation Museum at the same time, purchasing the combo pass will not only save you money but also keep you from rushing through everything. I do think that it is easier to process all the exhibits over a couple days.
> > If youre wondering how long you will spend at the Ark . . . We spent about two hours in the Ark itself, and a total of five hours on property . Keep in mind that the length of your visit will depend on crowd levels. As to our time in the Ark, we did not rush. We read most of the information on the first two decks. However on Deck 3, we did pick up the pace and did not read everything. Deck 3 had a lot of cool information on validity of Ark history and the science of the flood. This is where another day could be helpful to truly take it all in.
3. Because the Ark is new, many GPSs cant find the exact address. Use this address: 220 KY Highway 36 West, Williamstown, KY 41097, or see this page on the Ark Encounter website for exact coordinates.
6. Read the biblical account before your trip. This will put things afresh in your familys minds.

Room Accommodations Country Inn And Suites Georgetown Kentucky
My family was accommodated with a double queen room. In similar fashion to the Country Inn and Suites® in Hebron, Kentucky, this hotel has also been updated in the recent past and has newer headboards, more modern furniture, and well-lit bathrooms. The hotel has modern outlets with USB plugs. This was an especially nice feature since I accidentally brought my phone cord without the head!
A large decorative mirror was on the outside of the bathroom door, and this feature gave more dressing options for our family. Our room had a desk with chair, a chair for additional seating, and an attractive luggage rack/stool.
Our sheets were clean, the beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows, and towel sets were provided for our family of four. We were given fresh towels for our second day at the hotel.
Our room also provided traditional hotel amenities including an iron/ironing board, mini fridge and microwave, free WIFI, and a flatscreen TV.

Hotels Near Ark Encounter
If you are looking for the best place to stay near the Ark Encounter, I suggest staying in either Florence or Georgetown depending on which direction you are coming from. If your plans are to stay the night and go to the Creation Museum , then go to Florence where there are a number of hotels and restaurants to choose from.
We actually went a little further north and checked out the city of Cincinnati so we could check off staying in another state to our bucket list!
If you are heading south, then I suggest staying in Georgetown as it has a number of restaurants and hotels before hitting the hustle and bustle of Lexington. If you want to check out hotel rates from booking.com , .
