I actually worked here for a couple of years and lived just outside of Cambridge. This area right by the Charles is so lovely to visit and call a home base – convenient to multiple T-lines – so much rich history and culture. Grab some beers and Lamplighter or walk through Harvard Yard – Stroll along the Charles river and admire the MIT dome – Grab a sticky bun at Flour bakery or get some take-out from any mom-and-pop shop nearby. You almost can’t go wrong – especially just spending a day exploring on foot or Bluebike.

The Kimpton Marlowe hotel its beautiful! The lobby, the rooms, the bar, the restaurant, ALL of it. I wish they sell the fragrance they use in the lobby, it smells luxurious and divine! The location is unbeatable. We went to Boston to spend a few days with our son and his college is at 10 minutes walking distance, it also has a mall at 2 minutes walking distance. The mall is called Cambridgeside where u can find H& M, ATT, TMobile, Bank of America, Tjmaxx, Cvs, super convenient. The hotel is pet friendly which i love!!

Creation Of The Museum Of Science In Boston
The history of the museum dates back to 1830 when a group of people gathered and decided they wanted to share their relics and scientific accomplishments. Museums became a place which kept the animals’ hides and trophies from the trips to Asia and Africa. After constant wandering and temporary buildings, the museum had finally obtained its own place in the Back Bay district. It received its name as the “New England Museum of Natural History.” It had been occupying this building till World War II.
The collection of the institution began to increase and it changed its title to the Boston Museum of Science. They had then received a piece of land and started the construction of a new building. It took three years to finally finish it in 1951.
Science Park was opened in 1956, a planetarium was the next one on the list and launched in 1958. After that, the institution was considered to be the most full-scale science museum in the USA. In 1990, a part of the Computer Museum was joint to its collection. The other part of the exposition was sent to the Computer History Museum in California.
