This is great for kids and adults who are young at heart. Take money if you want to attend the different theatres showing short mini-movies . You should not try to see everything here in one day. For me it will take at least one more visit to experience it all. One day we went the food venue was closed however there are food trucks near the museum. Do not miss the astronaut exhibits.

There are 2 National Air& Space Museum in DC. One is in National Mall and the other one is near Dulles International airport.The one in the National Mall is fully pack with Air plane from Wright to Boeing commercial airplane to V1/V2 rocket by German in WW II to Lunar Module and hubble Telescope by Nasa. Air plane of many famous pilot including Emelia Earhart and Charles Lindbergh are there.The one near Dulles International Airport is a Hangar. It is also fully pack with Air craft and space craft too. Concord, SR71, Enolagay , Consair, MIG 15, MIG 21, Part of Saturn V, Space Shuttle, etc are in here. Restoration room is located in this hanger. Eventhough it is a bit far from the center of DC but it worth your one day trip to visit here.

Wow! That’s a common statement from visitors when they enter the National Air and Space Museum’s Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center. Located near the end of Washington Dulles International Runways, the Udvar-Hazy Center is a must-see destination in Fairfax County.
The museum’s massive exhibit spaces make it easy to social distance, while taking in some pretty amazing sites. The Boeing Aviation Hangar has nearly 200 aircraft on display, including an Air France Concorde, the last remaining World War I-era Sopwith Camel that was built by the Sopwith Company, the largest collections of Japanese and German World War II aircraft in the world, helicopters, commercial and private airplanes, and more.
Any “space geek” that steps into the McDonnell Space Hangar will feel like a kid in a candy store when they get up close to the Center’s collection of space artifacts, including Space Shuttle Discovery, the Apollo 11 Mobile Quarantine Facility, space suits, rockets, satellites, and space toys (just to mention a few things.The Museum also has a restoration hangar with an overlook for watching the conservation work underway on a number of artifacts, including the B-26 Maurader Flak Bait, which flew more missions than any other American plane during World War II.
