Heritage Museum of Orange County is home to the H. Clay Kellogg House and John Maag Farmhouse. Heritage Museum of OC is dedicated to preserving, promoting and restoring the heritage of Orange County and surrounding region through Hands-on, Minds-on interactive education.

Heritage Museum of Orange County is so excited to welcome you on Museum Day! In addition to the beautiful grounds, you will have access to view the Kellogg House and other permanent features including murals, antique farm equipment, an authentically made adobe house, and a Natural Area home to OC native plant and wildlife.
Participation in Museum Day is open to any tax-exempt or governmental museum or cultural venue on a voluntary basis. Smithsonian magazine encourages museum visitation, but is not responsible for and does not endorse the content of the participating museums and cultural venues, and does not subsidize museums that participate.

National Treasure Historic Wintersburg
National Treasure Historic Wintersburg shares the history of three generations of Japanese American experience, from immigration in the late 19th century to the return from incarceration following World War II. The 4.5-acre historic landscape contains six structuresthe majority over a century oldincluding one of the oldest Japanese missions in Southern California and a former goldfish farm.
Historic Significance
Representatives of the National Park Service visited the property in 2013 and found that, in addition to state protections, all the Historic Wintersburg structures are eligible for the National Register of Historic Places. The City of Huntington Beach confirmed this designation in their General Plan, after a professional historic resources survey, which added Historic Wintersburg to the list of Californias precious historical and cultural resources.
Designated a National Treasure in 2015 by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Historic Wintersburg is owned by Republic Services and remains endangered.

The grassroots effort to save Historic Wintersburg is now partnered with Heritage Museum of Orange County! HMOC will steward donations in a dedicated account to help continue the discussions with Republic Services to purchase the property for preservation of the structures and for the plans to regreen and reopen the farm.

I LOVE The Heritage Museum! If your looking for rustic you have found it! There are not many place in the OC that give you this kind of old world feel but Heritage nails it! Plenty of scenic location for pictures to be taken, a lovely gazebo courtyard for the ceremony, lots of other areas for cocktail time and covered patio for reception dinning and open area for dancing. This place is truly like stepping back in time to another place.In addition to the venue the staff is amazing as well. Jamie is awesome! I can’t thank them enough for being so professional and accommodating!I fully endorser this venue as one of the best in Orange County!Cheers, DJ Pat
