With the gift in 1950 by philanthropists Joe and Emily Lowe, a freestanding museum facility opened to the public in 1952, the first art museum in South Florida. Free and Discount Museum Passes Through the Boston Public Library ...
  • JCFPL offers either passes or vouchers depending on the museum.
  • Passes and vouchers are available to adult JCFPL cardholders in good standing. They can be checked out at the Lending Department of the Priscilla Gardner Main Library.
  • Passes and vouchers are available on a first come, first served basis . Passes circulate for 3 days. Limit one pass or voucher per library card. Passes cannot be renewed. Please call ahead to the Lending Department at 201-547-4526 to check availability.
  • After enjoying your museum visit, passes should be returned to the Lending department.
  • Please note: Vouchers do not need to be returned.
  • Patrons are responsible for replacement charges for any lost or stolen passes. Passes that have not been returned within 5 days of the due date will be assessed a $50 replacement fee.
  • Each museum pass and voucher has its own restrictions and conditions. Please see details below and be sure to also visit museum web pages for more information.
  • *Please note: We are currently out of vouchers for the American Museum of Natural History. We apologize for any inconvenience.

    The American Museum of Natural History is a natural history museum located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. The museum complex comprises 26 interconnected buildings housing 45 permanent exhibition halls, in addition to a planetarium and a library.     If youre a creator of any kind, or just like to understand how things work, then you need to know about Makerspaces! Epic Makerspaces are being added to library systems across the US. These elite, state-of-the-art innovation centers feature high-tech equipment specifically for public use. Several branches offer 3D printers, milling machines, soldering stations, recording studios, green-screen video studios, video editors and even printing presses!

    These spaces usually offer classes to help you learn how to use the equipment. In most cases, access to the Makerspace is free. However, there may be a small cost for whatever materials you use.

    How To Make A Culture Pass Reservation

    To get started, cardholders can visit the Culture Pass website and follow these steps:

  • Under ‘Reserve a Pass,’ select your library system .
  • Log in to the Culture Pass reservation system using your library card barcode/username and pin.
  • Browse available passes by date, venue or location. Each pass will offer free entry for either two or four people please read the details carefully.
  • Make a reservation.
  • Retrieve your pass shortly before your visit. You must show ID when redeeming Culture Pass.
  • Note: Only cardholders over 13 who have a valid library card are eligible for Culture Pass. If you apply for your library card online or through SimplyE, please visit one of our locations with a valid form of ID to receive your card.

    How Frequently Can I Reserve A Pass For The Same Museum

    NYC Library Card ‘Culture Pass’ Program Begins

    You may reserve a pass for the same museum every 90 days.

  • KidsQuest Museum and Bellevue Arts Museum passes are limited to one pass per household. You must wait 90 days before making another reservation for these museums.
  • For all other museums, one pass may be reserved per cardholder every 90 days.
  • If you have previously reserved a museum pass, you must wait 90 days before you can reserve another pass for the same museum.

    Reserved, but unused, passes are considered checked out. Unused passes apply to this 90 day wait period.

    Culture Pass: Get Free Access To Nyc Museums With A Library Card

    New York City is home to some of the most renowned cultural institutions in the world, and The New York Public Library is making it even easier for New Yorkers to enjoy these remarkable destinations with Culture Pass, a service that allows library cardholders to visit cultural institutions throughout the city for free.

    To get started, you’ll need a library card from The New York Public Library, Brooklyn Public Library, or Queens Library. NYC library cardholders can borrow passes for two or four people at cultural institutions throughout the city.

    • Only one Kids Museum Passport per household may be checked out at a time.
    • There is a 24-hour waiting period after returning a Kids Museum Passport before another pass for the same museum may be checked out by any member of the same family.
    • Museum passes may not be renewed because of high demand.
    • A Kids Museum Passport must be returned to the circulation desk of the CPL location where it was checked out.
    • The overdue fine for Kids Museum Passports is $2 a day, with a maximum overdue fine of $20.
    • The charge for a lost Kids Museum Passport is $60, plus any overdue fines.

    An active KCLS library card is required to reserve a museum pass. Your account must have under $25 of fines, not be expired, or have any other notices on it . Please contact library staff if your account is not working.

    Please see the terms of each museum on our museum pass page such as the number of people admitted per pass or the number of passes allowed per family/household. There are also limits on how often an individual or household may claim a pass.

    Visit our museum pass page . Scroll down or click link for Reserve a Pass or Change a Reservation. Click My Passes button to login and view or cancel existing passes.

    Need to change the date of your pass? Youll need to:

  • Cancel the existing pass and
  • Make a new reservation for a different date.
  • You will be unable to cancel later than 2pm of the day before the reservation, and the pass will count as used and count against your use limits.

    What You Should Know:

    • Borrower must be an adult Newburgh Free Library Card holder with a clean record.
    • Borrowing card must be an adult card.
    • Only one pass may be borrowed at a time.

    How Do I Request A Pass

    • BADM passes work the same way as borrowing a book or other item from the library.
    • You can place a hold on the item using the library catalog:
    • Go to the Museum Pass for Bay Area Discovery Museum item and click on the green Place a Hold button.
    • Select pick-up location and click Confirm Hold.
  • Alternatively, you can call the library to request a pass.
