Thank you for your interest in hosting an event at the Freer Gallery of Art and Arthur M. Sackler Gallery, the Smithsonians National Museum of Asian Art!
Due to the recent increase in positive COVID-19 cases, the Smithsonian Institution facilities are currently closed. The Freer and Sackler Galleries reopening will be based on public safety, resource availability, local conditions related to COVID-19, and other factors both internal and external.
The Freer and Sackler Galleries will not book any third-party rental events until after August 31, 2021. External parties may book Smithsonian rental spaces from with a soft hold, which will not require a deposit or executed contract, but will be limited to groups of 50 or fewer . External parties will be required to adhere to any social distancing or other criteria that may be in place at that time, and the hold may be cancelled by the Smithsonian for any reason.
Due to planned construction projects at the Freer and Sackler Galleries, events and rental bookings may be impacted through spring of 2022.

Fuller Garden Court & Park Lobby Accommodates 250 guests for a standing reception or 100 seated at tables. Optional access to adjacent galleries for private viewing can be added. Includes access to Front Terrace for ceremonies, weather permitting. Indoor ceremony options are available. Lawn and outdoor sites within Volunteer Park can be reserved through Seattle Parks and Recreation.
Alvord Board Room Up to 200 guests for a standing reception or 100 seated at round tables. Optional access to the scenic Grousemont lobby, overlooking the beautiful Volunteer Park can be added. Equipped with A/V.
About Asian Art Museum
The museum is available for private seated dinners, cocktail receptions, theater-style presentations, weddings and rehearsal dinners, anniversary celebrations, and similar corporate and social events.The event spaces are available from 5:15 pm onwards, after the museum closes to the public. The standard events package includes set up and tear-down times.Corporate events: 5:15 pm to midnightWeddings: 5:15 pm to 1:30 amDaytime meetings for groups of 100 or fewer can be accommodated in Samsung Hall. The Fisher Room is suitable for groups of 5 to 25 guests.Please contact the rentals department to check availability, pricing, and other details.

How Much Does It Cost To Get Married At The Legion Of Honor
There is no set cost to get married at the Legion of Honor, as each wedding is unique and therefore priced according to the specific needs of the couple. However, some estimates suggest that the average cost of a Legion of Honor wedding ranges from $5,000 to $10,000. This cost includes the rental fee for the venue, as well as the cost of food, drink, decorations, and other necessary wedding expenses.
The Court, Rodin Galleries, Hall of Antiquities, Cafe, and Terrace are all accessible to your guests from your entire Building with the Court. A ban on food and beverages has been imposed at the theater. John A. and Cynthia Fry Gunn Theater seats 300 people for an indoor ceremony. All main gallery levels are available to rent, as is the Terrace Level . Food, drink, and entertainment are permitted in the Rodin Gallery, Cafe, and Terrace. The Auguste Rodin sculpture collection, which has been on display at the Museum since 1978, can be found in three galleries on the museums upper level.

San Francisco truly has some of the most beautiful wedding venues. From the Legion of Honor to Flood Mansion, they offer grand spaces right in the middle of city, making it an awesome option for local and out-of-town guests. While I prefer the ceremony spaces slightly more at a venue like Legion of Honor, Samsung Hall for a reception here cant be beat. When it comes to wedding decor here I would definitely go for lots of reds and pinks to really highlight the space add some gorgeous color. Keep in mind that all tables, chairs, and other decor and furniture rentals must be brought in, which will add to your cost.

How It Breaks Down:
Facility Rental Fee: $12,000
Whats Included: Rental fees includes use of agreed upon event spaces museum security for the duration of the event coat check facilities and equipment a museum event liaison and two educational classrooms that may serve as a band/DJ green room, or vendor meal room.
Extra Costs: The museum is available for weddings from 6:30pm to midnight with set-up and load-out from 5:15pm to 1:30am. You may also extend the wedding past midnight by purchasing additional time at the rate of $1,500 per hour. The museum is not available to host events before 5:00pm as they are still open to the public.

Food and Beverage: You must use one of their 9 catering partners for all food/beverage. Their on-site caterer is McCalls, and other approved catering companies include Paula LeDuc Fine Catering and Taste.
Other Vendors: Aside from catering, all other outside vendors are permitted.

- Dinner with room for a dance area: 225
- Dinner without room for a dance area: 250
Their most common wedding setup is a ceremony in one of the first floor Courts, followed by a cocktail reception on the Loggia, and dinner and dancing in Samsung Hall. This option is best suited for 200 guests.
Parking: Museum parking is not available, however, the Civic Center Plaza Garage is conveniently located across from the museum in a below-ground structure.

How Long Does It Take To Go Through The Asian Art Museum
There is no set answer to this question as it depends on the individual and how much time they spend looking at each individual piece of artwork. However, on average, it would probably take someone around 2 hours to see everything in the museum.
On October 3, the Asian Art Museum will reopen to the public after a two-year renovation. The museum has one of the worlds most extensive collections of Asian art. Timed entry tickets are required, and they can be reserved in a matter of minutes. It is mandatory that museum visitors wear face coverings all the time.

The love story of Michelle Le and Jonathan Leu began when they first met at a friends house party in Minneapolis. Michelle had just moved to the city, and the two quickly learned that they lived in the same apartment complex. Over the next few weeks, Jon and Michelle started hanging out almost daily, soon becoming good friends.
It was around this time that Jon also found a great job opportunity in San Francisco, and moved to the west coast while Michelle was still in Minneapolis. The NBA playoffs were starting shortly after, so they made a sports bet where the loser would have to visit the other person in their current city.
