Paul Camacho had a very distinguished career as an IRS CI agent and is now the VP of AML compliance for Stations Casinos. In addition, Paul has also written extensively on the history of the IRS and the Treasury Department.

AML RightSource Vice Chairman, John Byrne was able to catch up with Paul on the exhibit floor during the ACAMS 18th Annual Financial Crime and Compliance conference in Las Vegas, NV to discuss his commitment to the agencys legacy and his tremendous work at the Mob Museum . As a member of their Board of Directors, Pauls work on the history of law enforcement has been extremely valuable and welcomed at the museum.

Goals

• To create an interactive replica of a drug tunnel together to let visitors explore a large amount of territory without having to physically build it in real life.
• To create an exhibit that will be completely safe for visitors.
• To explore a way to build large-scale exhibits cost effectively.

What was done

• A 3D model of a drug tunnel was created using first person 3D game technology. Users could either watch an animated video or take control and explore the drug tunnel personally, move about the location, and interact with certain objects that would play pre-recorded audio and video or display text.

Delivering Justice The History Of The Mob In America Featured In A Historically Renovated Federal Courthouse

OCMI provided project/construction management services on the $25 million historical renovations and conversion of the 41,000 SF federal courthouse and post office into the National Museum of Organized Crime, and Law Enforcement often called The Mob Museum.

OCMI oversaw the construction of 17,000 SF of exhibit galleries featuring advanced interactive technology and multi-media exhibits on three floors, in addition to administrative, specialty retail, support, event, and educational spaces. Achieving LEED Silver certification, the project includes solar water heating, controlled ventilation, and a fully automated building system.

Constructed in the 1930s it was the first federal building to be built in Las Vegas it on the State of Nevada and the US National Register of Historic Places.

Impact Of Growth On Water Supply

A growing population means the Las Vegas Valley used 1.2 billion US gallons more water in 2014 than in 2011. Although water conservation efforts implemented in the wake of a 2002 drought have had some success, local remains 30 percent more than in Los Angeles, and over three times that of San Francisco metropolitan area residents. The is building a $1.4 billion tunnel and pumping station to bring water from , has purchased water rights throughout Nevada, and has planned a controversial $3.2 billion across half the state. By law, the Las Vegas Water Service District “may deny any request for a water commitment or request for a water connection if the District has an inadequate supply of water.” However, limiting growth on the basis of an inadequate water supply has been unpopular with the casino and building industries.
