Parking Help Around Museum Of Science

We are coming into Boston from the cape for a day and plan on doing the Duck Tour first. We have to get our tickets at the Museum so is there anywhere to park for the day in that area? We plan on getting trolley tickets for the rest of the day and want to leave car in one spot. Also is there a trolley place near the museum? Thank you

Museum of Science and the nearby Galleria Mall have paid parking…

The only parking in tha area is the Museum of Science Garage. Perhaps the Duck Tours offer some kind of discount for their riders. By the way, are you driving from Michigan? If not, then don’t rent a car. You won’t need it and parking will be quite costly – like today.

The trolley tours generally begin by the Aquarium, but some may make stops near there. However, you’re going to find the land portion of the Duck Tour to be redundant with much of the trolley route. You sure you want to do both? Most people choose one or the other.

The only reason we are thinking about doing both is we bought the go boston cards and they are both included. The trolley is really only going to be a means to get to other things we want to do. We really want to do the Duck tour, Aquarium, Fenway tour and visit Sam Adams Brewery. We will have two small kids with us so if time the Swan boats too. Is parking at the science museum really expensive? Thanks for your replies

That’s a lot of stuff to cram into one day including getting to/from the Cape. How small are the kids?

On weekends book ahead if you have a certain time that you want to go. If you combine the tour with the Museum of Science, you can get a discount to the Museum. I think you need to get your boat tickets first and you can get these right inside the museum. The tours also go out from the Aquarium and is a little bit shorter ride. The “road” part is a terrific informational tour of Boston and then the duck boat goes in the water for a shorter tour of the city. We were on Bertha and had “The Doctor” for our tour guide. He was funny and very informative. The younger kids get to drive the boat while in the water. This was our third time on the tour, each time with a different guide and boat and they have all been excellent.
