Take in Summer at the MFAH

coming to houston for french impressionist show. looking for place to stay. have friends living near methodist also. near light rail would also be good.

Check the Hotel Zaza, brand new hotel.

There are a few hotels in the med center area that would be on light rail or even downtown would work as you could use the rail to get to museums and med center. Will you have a car or do you need to be on the rail line?

it seems the hotel zaza is not currently open. how can i find out what is on the light rail line? do they have a web site?

is the website for all local transportation.

you can find an enlarges map of the medical center/museum area at but it does not show the hotels along the routes.

I thought Hotel ZaZa was to open in February 2007, sorry. Hotels in the medical center include the Marriott on Fannin, Hampton Inn & Suites on Old Spanish Trail, Residence Inn by Marriott on South Main.

Medical Center Marriot is nice. Residence Inn and Courtyard by Marriot are both downtown and on light rail line but are rather desolate at night. Hotel Icon and the Magnolia are in a better, more busy area of downtown but also much more pricey hotels.

For downtown – Residence Inn is on Travis, Courtyard is on Main . Again though, desolate after business hours.
